Lumidigm fingerprint sensors employ multispectral imaging technology which reads fingerprints both on and below the skin
Innometriks will demonstrate its Rhino reader which utilizes Lumidigm fingerprint biometrics

Lumidigm recently announced that Innometriks Inc. will showcase Lumidigm multispectral imaging capabilities at the ASIS security convention in Philadelphia September 10-12, 2012. At booth #2663, Innometriks will be demonstrating its Rhino reader which utilizes Lumidigm fingerprint biometrics to handle high security authentication applications in extreme weather and rough environments. Only Lumidigm fingerprint sensors employ multispectral imaging technology which reads fingerprints both on and below the skin. This technology leverages a richer biometric data set for higher biometric performance and passes the benefits on to Innometriks’ demanding customers with high security deployments in various conditions.

“At ASIS, security professionals can see why multispectral fingerprint readers are being used at the front end of systems ranging from doors that protect the government’s most valuable assets to ATMs in Brazil and the entrances to major amusement parks,” explains Bill Spence, Lumidigm vice president, transaction systems.

Engineered to be the industry standard, the Innometriks Rhino is designed from the ground up to eliminate the issues typically associated with biometric reader deployment. The Rhino’s U.S. Government credential configuration provides tiered authentication levels that meet the SP800-116 implementation guidelines. The Rhino is FIPS 201-certified and approved by the TSA. It is also used for cloud-based perimeter access control with biometric verification in real time.
