Axis Security starts another chapter in manned guarding industry with Birmingham office
Axis Security presented a £500 cheque to the charity ‘Help for Heroes' on the occasion

Axis Security, one of the UK's fastest growing manned guarding businesses, has officially opened its new regional operations centre in Birmingham, creating up to 75 jobs in the first year.

Axis, which is well-known for providing high-level security for a number of prestigious financial institutions and professional firms in the South, is expanding its operations nationwide with the opening of a new office in Longbridge, on the site of the former Rover plant.

It has regional branches in Hounslow, Manchester, Rotherham, Bristol, Newcastle, Livingstone and Belfast, and is looking to replicate this model in the Midlands, where its clients already include the Chelmsley Wood Shopping Centre and Birmingham Council.

Suzanne Averis, Commercial Manager for the region says that the company has a sound platform on which to build: "Our new office in Longbridge sends a clear signal to our customers and potential customers that we are serious about their business, and serious about providing the level of local support they need to deliver a first class service."

Opening in new premises on the site of the former Rover plant, the launch signals a key step forward in the regeneration of Longbridge. Suzanne confirms that up to 75 jobs could be created in the first year as the company seeks to recruit new licensed security officers, and that this figure might treble over the next two to three years. "The closure of the plant left a great mark on the area and its people," Suzanne explains. "But with businesses like ours now investing in the area there is renewed hope and optimism. Longbridge has a bright future ahead which Axis is proud to be a part of."

On the day, a brand new Range Rover sporting Axis plates and livery was in position to fly the flag for both companies and guests were treated to a champagne reception with cuisine from a local award-winning restaurant. The launch was attended by senior security industry figures, alongside representatives of the local business community.

During the launch, Suzanne and Group Managing Director Jonathan Levine introduced Axis Security to the region, and presented a number of awards to Axis officers in recognition of the outstanding service they have already delivered.

Suzanne commented that Axis officers receive one of the most comprehensive and competitive benefits packages within the manned guarding industry: "This has helped us recruit and retain some of the very best. It is an attractive package to hard-working security professionals."

Guest-Speaker was Dawn Turner of Help for Heroes, a charity with which Axis Security has strong ties, who highlighted the work of the charity and accepted a £500 cheque from Axis to support it in its mission.
