The new model rounds out the industry's largest megapixel camera line and complements Arecont Vision's new AV10005 series of 10 megapixel/1080p dual mode cameras by offering a single standardized 1080p mode, along with otherwise similar features, at a more competitive price point.

Available in colour, day/night and colour auto-iris versions, the AV2805 offers selectable H.264 or MJPEG compression to best suit a wide range of applications. Users can digitally pan, tilt and zoom live with multiple zoom windows while recording the full field-of-view in full HD 1080p. Post-event forensic zooming is also possible from archives to extract recorded details.
Arecont Vision's line of cameras range in image resolution from 1.3 to 10 megapixels including camera models which provide advanced capabilities such as dual sensor day/night capabilities and panoramic viewing.
