BSIA exhibits at HOSDB's premier security equipment event
HOSDB displays the latest security equipment for law enforcement and public security

For the first time, the British Security Industry Association (BSIA) has exhibited at the Home Office Scientific Development Branch (HOSDB)'s premier security equipment event.

The event, which took place in Farnborough from 16th to 18th March, is the UK's only secure event for displaying the latest security equipment for law enforcement and public security and focuses on four key business areas including crime and policing, security and counter terrorism, identity management and border security. The exhibition was held for police forces from the UK and worldwide including Chief Constables and their department representatives, as well as the emergency services and government departments such as the Home Office, prison service, customs and immigration services, government security and MoD departments.

This year saw a substantial increase in the number of overseas visitors thanks to the involvement of UK Trade & Investment Defence and Security Organization (UKTI DSO) who coordinated the international delegations.

James Kelly, BSIA Chief Executive, comments: "The BSIA is delighted to be part of the HOSDB's prestigious event. This is one of the most significant closed police and security equipment exhibitions in the UK that enjoys a fantastic international reputation."

"Exhibiting at the event enabled the BSIA to establish further contact with key stakeholders such as the Police and the Government and demonstrate how the security industry can work alongside them to better protect the nation. The exhibition also provided the ideal opportunity for the BSIA's export team to engage with overseas visitors to maximize the potential opportunities to work together on international security issues."
