Cognitec Systems, a leader in face recognition technology and systems, presented its latest products at the ID World 2010 held at the Milanofiori Congress Centre in Milan, November 16-18, 2010.

Cognitec's presentation included:

  • A new version of Cognitec's biometric face recognition VideoScan software: Person identification through video surveillance cameras using multiple cameras in real-time, based on Cognitec's unique face tracker technology.
  • Innovative facial recognition technology for identification: Used to match crime scene photos and surveillance video images against mug shot repository for suspect identification, based on Cognitec's latest facial database search engine FaceVACS-DBScan and FaceVACS-Examiner tools to enhance and inspect images.
  • Image capturing and quality assessment based on ISO criteria for ePassport images: Cognitec's solution features real-time feedback to persons being photographed as well as advanced camera control which ensures the capturing of optimal images.
