ioimage appoints John Whiteman Vice President and General Manager of ioimage North Americaioimage, the pioneer of intelligent video appliances designed for simplicity, recently announced the appointment of John Whiteman as Vice President and General Manager of ioimage North America.

Whiteman brings to ioimage more than 20 years of experience in the security industry and a strong senior level management background.  His expertise reaches into the commercial, transportation, government, and homeland security markets, where he established numerous business relationships working with Fortune 500 companies, including airports, large defence contractors and U.S. Customs agencies.

Over the years, Whiteman has worked for many leading security companies in roles that required him to leverage his sales leadership along with distribution and dealer channel knowledge in both North America and internationally.  He has worked for Axsys Technologies-IR Systems, Vicon Industries, Inc., and Sentry Technology.

At Axsys Technologies-IR Systems, a provider of long-range thermal imaging solutions, Whiteman served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing.  He worked as Vice President of Sales for Vicon Industries, Inc., a designer and producer of sophisticated analog and digital video surveillance systems.  During his 16-year tenure at Sentry Technology, a manufacturer of electronic article surveillance and CCTV systems, Whiteman held the position of Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, where he organized the sales team, repositioned the company sales efforts into markets outside of their traditional retail base and restructured the company's dealer network.

Most recently, Whiteman served as Vice President General Manager for CyberFlex Software, a custom software design company.
