With the launch of VARIO, Raytec’s new range of high performance LED lighting, it is now even easier for security professionals to design and deliver CCTV systems that  are not just smarter, but even greener.

In addition to the performance benefits of VARIO, including its interchangeable lensing and hot-spot reduction technology, VARIO also allows the user to deliver the most energy efficient installation possible.

All Raytec LED illuminators deliver a high level of performance with a very low power consumption. VARIO however, is controlled by a hand held remote control device which provides access to a host of inbuilt technology features which can be used to save even more energy and further reduce electrical consumption. VARIO’s power adjust feature allows users to use exactly the right amount of light needed – avoiding over illumination and excess energy usage. The telemetry and timer functions allow users to activate lighting from an external trigger and turn the lighting on for a predetermined amount of time only when needed, to significantly save on energy consumption and electrical costs.

VARIO also uses elliptical beam patterns to further enhance energy savings. VARIO’s elliptical (oval) beam pattern is designed to provide a highly focused beam, delivering more light where needed and generating less light pollution. It throws less light into the sky and less light into the immediate foreground where it is not needed.

“VARIO is designed to make it far easier for all CCTV professionals to take control of their lighting”, says David Lambert, Raytec’s Sales and Marketing Director. “Users can benefit from real energy and cost savings, with lighting which can be tailored to their exact requirements for the greenest possible installation”.
