| Videcon to disribute video verification equipment in the UK and Ireland |
CCTV Distributor Videcon has been appointed by RSI Video Technologies to distribute their "Videofied" range of Video Verification equipment in the UK and Ireland.
The system combines video technology with a wireless intruder system to verify alarm incidents. When an alarm is triggered a 10-second video clip is sent through to a monitoring station within 3 minutes via a GPRS sim card. The first few frames of video are normally available within less than a minute. This quick and easy verification helps eliminate unnecessary police calls.
The system has been a huge success in France and Australia and is already proving popular in the UK. Early feedback from existing Videcon customers has been extremely positive about the product and the opportunities it creates for them.

"Videofied is a simple but highly effective product concept which allows you to cost-effectively secure even the most difficult locations. Building sites, church roofs and unoccupied properties are all examples of vulnerable sites where a full CCTV installation isn't practical or cost effective. But they can all now be secured and remotely monitored through Videofied, even where there is no mains power or internet connection. The Videofied range is immediately available from Videcon and their field sales team are demonstrating it to installers throughout the UK and Ireland.
