Vicon will demonstrate full power of ViconNet 5 as well as showcase its megapixel camera range at IFSEC
Visitors to Vicon's stand will see a demonstration of the full power of ViconNet 5, the latest version of Vicon's highly acclaimed video management software platform, which enables users to take full advantage of Video over IP.

ViconNet 5, which encompasses the latest compression techniques and has built-in intelligent video analytics, can provide complete video system management from any PC on the network. It offers almost limitless user configurations, viewing options and graphical mapping.

"It is an incredibly easy to use and genuinely open software platform system which  supports  a wide range of third party IP as well as Vicon's full range of DVRs, megapixel cameras, IP video and hybrid systems," said Richard Allen-Miles, Vicon's Sales Director for UK and Ireland. "It also facilitates easy integration into third party systems such as access control."

Also on show at IFSEC 2009 will be Vicon's megapixel cameras which utilize ‘progressive scan' to deliver cleaner images and more defined images on moving objects. Each of the five megapixel camera models offer the option of PoE (Power over internet) and user selection of image resolution from 640 x 480 to 1280 x 1024 as well as a choice of M-JPEG or MPEG-4 compression.
