Pelco by Schneider Electric announces the release of its DS NVs version 7.3.54 software. With added support for Pelco analytics as one of the key new features, the growing audience of Sarix customers can now use any of 8 analytic behaviors to trigger soft alarms in ControlPoint, the client software for DS. The DS supported analytics include abandoned object, adaptive motion, camera sabotage, loitering detection, and more there are no additional fees for the analytic behaviors, either for Sarix or DS NVs customers.
DS NVs 7.3.54 also includes new thumbnail search capabilities and improvements in the Quick Setup as well as general administrative functions of the increasingly popular VMS application. Interest in the added feature set was demonstrated with over 300 customers registering for a recent webinar. Russell Ost, Technical Specialist from Graybar in Sacramento, California, and an early user of the software upgrade says, "The analytics seem to be working well. Dogs that went through a fence tripped the analytics. You could track them as they roamed the yard."

The new DSSRV replaces all previous DS hardware offerings and has surpassed company expectations for sales. Schwemmer cites the hardware specifications of the new DSSRV as responsible for the surge in sales. "We've got the latest CPU, on-board graphics, enterprise hard disk drives in an extremely flexible system that can be deployed as an NVR, DVR, or hybrid. It's giving our customers what they need at a reasonable price. And the software is easy to install and intuitive to use."
