| The Altronix eBridge4SPT transceiver with an integral four-port managed PoE+ switch offers built-in IP management |
Altronix now offers more options for upgrading from analog to IP with the introduction of the eBridge™4SK kit. It allows four IP devices to replace a single analog camera over legacy coax infrastructure. The new eBridge4SK kit consists of the eBridge4SPT transceiver with an integral four-port managed PoE+ switch that transmits IP data to the head-end, and an eBridge1SPR receiver that passes system power up the coax over 1500 feet (5X maximum Ethernet distance) without the need for repeaters.
“Our eBridge Ethernet over Coax Adapters with or without power make it easier and more cost-efficient to upgrade to IP networked systems over legacy infrastructure where it was previously not possible,” said Alan Forman, President, Altronix. “With the addition of the new eBridge4SK, a single coax cable can now accommodate and power up to four IP devices with power, versus a single analog camera with a local power source. This provides a highly efficient means of utilizing coax infrastructure with IP cameras, accessories and access control devices with tremendous cost-savings.”
The eBridge4SPT transceiver with an integral four-port managed PoE+ switch offers built-in IP management that allows for remote camera/device reset, monitoring and reporting via various IP protocols. Local or remote monitoring indicates port status, device status and real-time power consumption. Additionally, the unit’s individual ports may be enabled or disabled as desired. The eBridge4SPT also features auto detection and protection to prevent damage to legacy non-PoE cameras/devices.
The eBridge1SPR receiver sends PoE up the coax for up to four IP devices connected to eBridge4SPT transceiver. Two eBridge1SPR receivers may be powered by one Altronix Vertiline563 rack mount power supply/charger. Altronix RE2 rack mount enclosure houses optional backup batteries.
The eBridge4SK kit is UL listed in the U.S. and Canada, and CE and C-Tick approved. All Altronix products are made in the U.S.A and feature a lifetime warranty.
