MOBOTIX, network video security provider, strengthen UK team with appointment of Dominic Chapman
Chapman has extensive experience of working on major bids and selling advanced IP solutions
MOBOTIX AG, a leading manufacturer of digital high-resolution, network-based video security systems has appointed Dominic Chapman as its new UK Channel Development Manager as the firm continues to post strong growth in the market.

Chapman joins MOBOTIX from Cisco UK where he dealt extensively with the Channel for over 10 years as part of the Cisco Systems Commercial, ISP, Enterprise and Carrier sales teams. "MOBOTIX is a market innovator and leader in the emerging network video market and I look forward to working with the partners to help maintain the strong growth we have enjoyed over the last few years."

Chapman has extensive experience of working on major bids and selling advanced IP solutions, LAN, WAN, Core, Wireless, Data Centre, Application optimisation, Contact Centre, Voice, Video and Mobility solutions. Chapman will report to Mike Lewis, MOBOTIX UK Country Manager with a remit across the 100 UK channel partners.

"My background at Cisco is particularly pertinent to my new role as networks converge to carry voice, data and video," he comments. "Working for an organization that has adopted open standards as well as developing best in class technology provides a strong platform to help the channel extend our leadership in the field," he adds.

Despite persisting difficulties in the general economic environment, MOBOTIX AG was able to increase its revenue by approximately 9% to €23.9m in the first six months of fiscal year 2009/10 (prior year: €22.0m). According to data from industry analysts IMS, globally, the MOBOTIX share of the megapixel surveillance camera market is close to 40% with a strong presence in Europe and increased share in the Americas.

"Having Dominic on board is a great boost for the local team," comments Mike Lewis, "as our channel community is heavily focused on integrating our products into converged networks, the expertise he brings from Cisco is a welcomed bonus."
