After several years of product development and preparations, TamperSeal AB is prepared to launch its first product. The patented technology behind TamperSeal products is the foundation of a totally new concept of retail security aiming at reducing shoplifting and product tampering in retail stores The launch will take place at National Retail Federation conference in San Diego US, June 12-14, 2013.
Founded 2010, as a spin-out company, by Professor Sten Wandel, from University of Lund, Sweden. TamperSeal AB is focused to develop and market products for tamper evident packaging and product authentication. The purpose is to reduce and trace thefts and to obstruct the presence of product counterfeits, providing sustainable thrust in products and companies of origin, and ensuring quality and authentication of the products and thus, achieving expected value and safety for the end user.
TamperSeal product line has a novel approach to prevent and detect shoplifting in Real-Time. TamperSeal, an intelligent seal with real-time alarm protects the commercial value of retail merchandise. TamperSeal system is activated by attempts to product tampering and shoplifting. Basically, TamperSeal preserves the function of EAS by detecting tampering as well as "booster-bags". In addition to a real-time notification to your e-reader, with information about the incident and a picture of the current retail zone, sound and light alarms will lead you to the zone of the store where the event takes place. In this way, product tampering and theft can be interrupted and the product remains intact in the store. The fundamental technology of the new product line are patent protected in USA, Sweden, England, Germany, France, Australia and Mexico. Patent is pending in China.
Recently TamperSeal installed a test system at a major electronic retail store in Sweden and the CEO of the company, Mats Johnsson, is actively looking for potential partners regarding distribution and sales on an international basis.
