These new locks are the first in the Yale Real Living portfolio of home control and security solutions
The new platform of Yale locks come in durable acrylic touchscreen or simple,  tamper-resistant keypad

Yale Locks & Hardware, an ASSA ABLOY Group company and a world leader in door hardware for residential and commercial applications, is showcasing the company's first deadbolt and lever locks specifically designed for intelligent/digital home integration at ASIS 2011.

These new locks are the first in the Yale Real Living portfolio of home control and security solutions. Available in both durable acrylic touchscreen or simple, elegant, tamper-resistant keypad, the new platform of intelligent locks from Yale supports both Z-Wave and ZigBee, allowing them to operate within a wide range of home control and security systems, including Alarm.com's empower, Control4, and the Vera Z-Wave home control system by Mi Casa Verde, among others.

Regardless of the security system or home control system employed, users will have access to a high degree of functionality, including the ability to lock and unlock doors from web-enabled devices or create customized entry scenes for family members, neighbors, and guests. Enter a user code to enable a welcome scene that disarms the security system, activates lights, and even adjust the thermostat. Owners experience a new type of ‘real living', the locks become the first point of contact for security and home control on any door the lock is installed.

Features of the new locks include voice assisted programming in English, Spanish and French; personalized access-control scenes for up to 250 users or 500 audits as well as access to all user programmable settings via select user interfaces. The new intelligent locks offer an elegant, next-generation home control solution for entryways and protected interior doors to make everyday living easier and safer.

Unlike other intelligent locks available on the market, the Yale Real Living locks were designed with the digital home in mind. "Other so-called 'intelligent locks' are simply reworked versions of their company's existing product," said Jason Williams, General Manager of Yale Residential. "Our locks were designed from the ground up specifically to interface with today's home control systems. As a result, they will provide more seamless operation and a wider degree of functionality than our competitors' offerings."
