Eneo Introduces New Generation Of Digital Recorders
Product Profile
Innovative design, enhanced user interface, pentaplex operation plus numerous other features - eneo offers the successor to the BTR models with its BCR series. A comparison of the new generation against the old.
Compression method
The MPEG4 ASP standard has now replaced JPEG 2000 to guarantee even higher image quality along with a low memory requirement.
Operating mode
Whilst digital recorders in the BTR series can carry out three tasks at the same time in triplex operation, the BCR recorders manage five with their pentaplex function: record, playback, live mode, backup and network functions.
Access via web browser
Access to BTR series recorders is exclusively via the bundled Viewer software. But digital recorders in the BCR series also offer control via a web browser. Additionally, the bundled Viewer software has been upgraded and now features an even more clearly arranged user interface.
Further improvements
BCR series digital recorders offer a higher internal hard disk capacity (max. 2 TB). Whilst BTR recorders achieve a maximum recording resolution of 720 x 288 pixels, the BCR successors upstage with a maximum resolution of 704 x 576 pixels. As opposed to the BTR forerunners, BCR models come with a DVD writer, infrared remote control and a mouse as standard equipment. Covert camera operation is also possible.
Valued functions
Versions with four, eight or 16 loop-through video inputs continue to be offered, so that a model matched ideally to small as well as large applications can be selected. Playback of video imagery can be displayed in 4, 6, 8, 9, 13 or 16 channel split; furthermore the image can be frozen in live mode, and items and objects can be enlarged with the 2x zoom. The BCR series features a VGA output for PC monitor connection, a spot monitor output as well as RS-232 and RS-485 interfaces plus of course an Ethernet port. The integral motion detector can reliably detect movement by using the programmable grid.
Both series also have the price in common. The purchase price for a BTR-3116, for instance, is only slightly different from that of a BCR-3016.
