Siemens Starts 2008 With IP Promotion

Siemens has announced a special promotional package comprising a 16 channel network video recorder and 4 day-night IP cameras. 

The package, available from 14th January to 18th April 2008, features the popular SISTORE MX NVR, ideal for installations where space is limited like under the counters in petrol stations or small shops.  Despite its ultra compact dimensions of only 262 x 134 x 47 mm, the NVR offers very high processing performance and excellent reliability for full recording, monitoring and camera control.

• Compact dimensions - space saving, with easy and flexible installation

The cameras included within the package are 4 day-night IP cameras (CCIS1345-LP) from the new dual codec range.

Dual codec IP cameras

The Siemens range of dual codec cameras features 3 models: ‘colour', ‘day-night' and ‘day-night with wide dynamic'.  Each offers selectable MPEG4 or MJPEG compression options, while still being hybrid regarding video output codec selection provides greater flexibility, removing the need to consider recorder connection compatibility as it will work with both PC and non-PC based systems.  It also allows a system to be optimized according to image quality or bandwidth.

All 3 IP camera models can be powered via the Ethernet cable (using Power over Ethernet), thereby significantly reducing the number of cables and improving ease of installation.

IP fixed domes

Ten fixed dome cameras are also available from Siemens for IP applications, all of which allow for discreet around-the-clock surveillance of indoor and outdoor areas.  The analog cameras are easily converted to IP through the simple addition of an IP dome base, making the migration from analog to digital extremely easy when upgrading a system.
