The ANC1616-B network server is a multi functional device that can be set to several modes. In the “CerPass” mode, the ANC1616-B facilitates communication between the AMS PC and door controllers through a TCP/IP Ethernet network. In the “Biometrics” mode, the ANC1616-B enables the connection of the Fingertip reader AR6332-BI to a TCP/IP Ethernet network. In the “Device Server” mode, the ANC1616-B connects the serial devices to a TCP/IP Ethernet Network. The ANC1616-B can be configured either locally (by using an emulation terminal on the serial connection PC to ANC1616-B) or remotely (by using a Telnet client). This configuration is stored in the EEProm of the ANC1616-B device and is retained even without electricity supply.
