Vicon V962D-WN312 is a true day/night vandal-resistant network dome camera designed for demanding security installations. It offers a number of fixed network camera versions that deliver crisp clear images to fit any installation need. It is offered with a 3.3-12 mm motorized P-Iris lens or a 3.3-12 mm manual DC iris lens. The motorized lenses permit remote focus and zoom using the web browser interface.

Vicon's MP-980DN I-Onyx Megapixel Camera is a professionalseries fixed network camera featuring superb image quality and exceptional bandwidth efficiency. Day and night operation is achieved by a built-in removable IRcut filter, so the camera is able to maintain clear images24 hours a day.

Tamper-resistant screws make the unit resistant to vandalism.  The Roughneck V910 series has an integral camera with an isolated power input, high-resolution color or day/night, with a choice of lenses.  Both camera types accept 24 VAC, provide BLC ON/OFF (DIP switch selectable) and feature line lock capability.  A model is available that offers twisted pair video connection.  A UTP receiver is required for twisted pair configurations.

Vicon V661D-312N day/night indoor/outdoor fixed dome camera with 600 TVL  utilize the 1/3-inch Sony® Super HAD™II CCD device. Vicon's V910 Roughneck® Camera Dome series provide an ideal solution for a multitude of monitoring situations. Three models are offered: a high-resolution color model, day/night model and wide dynamic range (WDR) model. All models are indoor/outdoor cameras and are powered by 24 VAC or PoE (IP cameras) in accordance with IEEE 802.3af. NTSC and PAL models are offered. Each of the camera models offer unique features designed to maximize usability at a reasonable cost. The analog cameras offer coaxial, UTP or Fiber video transmission for most models.

The Surveyor VFT dome camera range, the preferred choice of professional installers for over a decade, now offers a number of new features and performance enhancements. The cruiser S660 PTZ camera dome includes a high resolution camera/lens combination that provides analog video transmission over coaxial cable. It is the perfect solution for indoor applications. A multi-language OSD menu system allows setting many of the camera features, inlcuding motion detection, 8 privacy zones and titling.

DSP cameras take the analog signal, convert it to digital format, adjust specific video parameters and display the image in analog format.  Digital control offers crisp lines, detail reproduction and assures that functions are unaffected by time and temperature.  These cameras feature the extremely low levels of lag, blooming, and transfer smear characteristic of CCD pickup devices.

The V662V-Series High-Resolution, Wide Dynamic Range dome camera offers a durable, vandal-proof, fixed camera that offers superior resolution of 650 TV lines, to provide high-quality images. The extended wide dynamic range is ideal for difficult lighting situations. The camera has a 1/3-inch Sony® Super HADTMII PS 960H CCD. A choice of 2.8-12 mm or 9-22 mm lenses are available.

The extended wide dynamic range is ideal for difficult lighting situations. The camera has a 1/3-inch Sony® Super HAD™II PS 960H CCD.

Vicon has launched a new range of 2.0 megapixel day/night cameras which support H.264, MPEG-4 and M-JPEG compression, enabling the simultaneous transmission of multiple video streams at different resolutions, frame rates and image qualities, for viewing on different platforms. The new MP980 I-ONYX range comprises an internal dome, an external dome and a box camera, all of which are equipped with true day/night functionality. A removable IR-cut filter and auto iris control allows the cameras to deliver clear images 24 hours a day at lighting levels as low as 0.03 Lux. All three models support Power over Ethernet and offer seamless integration with the ViconNet video management system. They also conform to the ONVIF global standard, making them compatible with other network video products. "Megapixel cameras, by definition, create greater demands on storage and bandwidth requirements compared to standard resolution cameras," said Richard Allen-Miles, Vicon's Sales Director for the UK and Ireland. "By utilising H.264 compression technology, however, Vicon's new megapixel cameras provide a means to address this issue by drastically reducing file sizes and thereby minimizing bandwidth usage."

Vicon will be adding yet more performance and functionality to its fixed-dome ranges during 2010. This will mean enhancements of the V910, V926, VC-600, VC-700 and SurveyorVFT fixed dome models. With the exception of WDR models, all of the domes will benefit from a new camera module that delivers dramatically improved image quality as well as offering additional features. These include Dynamic Range to improve the details in bright and low light areas of an image and Digital Noise Reduction which improves image quality in low light environments and provides a better compression ratio to reduce video storage requirements. The new Day/Night camera module, which has a privacy masking feature and an on-screen menu, can capture superb quality colour images at 560TVL even when lighting levels may be as low as 0.3 Lux and equally high quality monochrome images in night time conditions at 0.01 Lux. New WDR models will be using an improved version of the Pixim camera module to provide enhanced dynamic range by making use of the patented industry-leading Digital Pixel System®technology which provides pixel-by-pixel analysis and processing. Key improvements offered by the new WDR models are a correction for colour roll when capturing video under fluorescent lighting and an optional high-resolution mode which is controlled through the menu system. "This performance upgrade of what has been a very successful product line for us, demonstrates Vicon's commitment to an ongoing R&D programme and a determination to provide our customers with a competitive edge by equipping them with leading edge CCTV and video management solutions," said Richard Allen-Miles, Vicon's Sales Director for the UK and Ireland.
