Barrett aims to achieve significant growth and market share for Y3K’s group subsidiaries, IQCCTV and Smart-i, within the UK Y3K, the UK's leading manufacturer and distributor of HD CCTV, Smart Home Security and Access Control solutions, has appointed Mike Barrett as National Sales Manager. Barrett’s remit will be to achieve significant growth and gain market share for Y3K’s group subsidiaries, IQCCTV and Smart-i, within the UK region. Specialist Electronic Security Knowledge Barrett has been involved in the security industry for the past 30 years, spending over 16 years at CBC Europe. Most recently he was Regional Sales Manager at transmission specialists, Comnet Communication Networks. His specialist electronic security knowledge covers all aspects of CCTV and video transmission solutions, including fiber optic, Ethernet and wireless. “Over the past year our IQCCTV division has grown significantly, added to this the quick success of the Smart-i division has created a need for an experienced pair of hands to take them to the next stage of their growth,” said Y3K’s Group CEO, Paul Singh. “We’re very fortunate to have hired Mike, who is very well known in the industry. Mike’s years of experience and knowledge will prove vital in growing both parts of the business. The Plug and Play 1080p CCTV and the Smart Home Security sectors will present the greatest market opportunities for us over the next few years, so Mike joining us is perfect timing. And Mike won’t be the last of the appointments we have planned for this year, as we have a few more announcements to make shortly.” Barrett’s position is the first of more than 5 new appointments Y3K will be announcing this month as the company prepares for continued rapid growth during 2016.
Two new ranges ofXvision IP cameras were also launched: Xvision Pro HD and Xvision ELITE After a busy three days, leading HD CCTV and specialist security distributor, Y3K, has reported a significant increase in visitor numbers compared with shows in previous years. Y3K showcased its own latest HD CCTV technologies, as well as vehicle CCTV solutions from sister company, SmartWitness, and new access control and time attendance products from leading global manufacturer, Anviz. The show also marked a significant chapter in Y3K’s history as a new strategic distribution partnership with electrical wholesalers, WF Senate, was signed on the opening day, making them a distribution channel partner for Y3K’s full range of HD CCTV and security products. The event, which made its debut at the Excel Centre in London’s Docklands, gave new and existing customers the opportunity to learn more about the latest HD CCTV and access-control products on the market. On display was Y3K’s new range of affordable HD CCTV surveillance cameras and complete end-to-end solutions using the very latest 960H CCTV technology. For the more professional installations, two new ranges of XvisionIP cameras were also launched: Xvision Pro HD, which offers installers 1080p resolution images in a simple-to-install format, and Xvision ELITE, which caters for those looking for enterprise-level IP CCTV, including powerful video content analytics and ANPR. Y3K showcased its own latest HD CCTV technologies, as well as vehicle CCTV solutions from sister company, SmartWitness, and new access control and time attendance products from leading global manufacturer, Anviz New to Y3K’s expanding portfolio of products was an exciting range of Anviz biometric access control products. Fingerprint Recognition, Facial Recognition, Time Attendance and RFID Access-Control products – all fully supported by Y3K’s UK-based technical support team – created a high level of interest from visitors looking for the latest cutting-edge biometric access control solutions. The event also allowed the Y3K and WF Senate teams to meet with customers and explain more about the new partnership and what it means to them from a day-to-day perspective. Now that the partnership agreement has been signed, and after a successful trial, Y3K’s products are now available from 104 WF Senate branches across the UK, where customers receive expert advice and product support, competitive pricing, a system design service and, most importantly, same-day delivery/collection.
