Designed for applications including trucking and distribution facilities, corporate campuses, secured storage yards and other sites requiring controlled vehicle access, OSCO 725 combines proven gate operator technologies with advanced controls that simplify installation, configuration, monitoring and ongoing service. Built as the next generation of the Nice commercial slide gate operator portfolio, OSCO 725 brings together key capabilities from the legacy Linear and HySecurity platforms in a single, modern solution. For existing installations, its retrofit-ready design offers an especially important advantage: OSCO 725 uses the same 30-inch post spacing and mounting profile as the products it replaces, allowing installers to reuse existing posts rather than rebuild the gate operator foundation. An available accessory also enables retrofits from select competitive products. High-voltage configurations “OSCO 725 was designed around what installers and commercial customers need from a modern gate operator: rugged performance, straightforward installation and greater visibility into the system throughout its lifecycle,” says John Allen, Director of Product Management. “By combining proven technologies from our established gate operator platforms with the advanced capabilities of the SmartTouch 725 controller, we’re giving installers a powerful, versatile solution that’s easier to deploy, configure and support.” Available in four primary models, the OSCO 725-15, OSCO 725-25, OSCO 725-50 and OSCO 725-25F, accommodate gates weighing up to 1500, 2500, and 5000 pounds, respectively, with the 25F model moving gates up to 2500 pounds at twice the speed of the standard version for applications where faster vehicle throughput is required. Select models are also available in high-voltage configurations supporting 460-volt and 575-volt three-phase power. Diverse commercial applications OSCO 725 incorporates a brushless DC motor drive and battery backup, enabling the gate to continue opening and closing during a power outage. A manual gearbox release also allows manual operation when needed. Optional features like a cabinet heater for extremely cold environments and a remote manual release for fire department access further expand the platform’s suitability for diverse commercial applications. A key differentiator is the operator’s flexible, retrofit-ready post-mounted design. The enclosure can be elevated above ground level, which helps keep it accessible during snow accumulation and better protects it in locations susceptible to standing water or flooding. The tightly sealed enclosure is also designed to limit access by rodents, snakes, insects and other pests that can damage internal components. Commercial gate applications At the heart of OSCO 725 is the SmartTouch 725 controller, bringing advanced control, safety, connectivity and diagnostic capabilities to commercial gate applications. Five programmable safety inputs accommodate devices such as photo sensors and vehicle detectors, while native support for Nice vehicle detection technology simplifies configuration directly through the controller. Native communication between operators simplifies more sophisticated applications, including synchronized bi-parting gates. The controller can coordinate two operators so gate panels reach their open and closed positions together. It can also integrate with other Nice access solutions, such as barrier arms, as well as ancillary devices including traffic lights. Extensive programmable settings Bluetooth connectivity provides installers with smartphone-based access for setup, diagnostics and configuration. The app simplifies management of the controller’s extensive programmable settings and allows installers to save a known configuration, reload it when servicing an operator, or copy settings from one gate to another, helping streamline commissioning across sites with multiple access points. An integrated Ethernet connection extends management beyond the gate itself. Through an embedded web interface, authorized users can remotely monitor the operator, adjust settings and perform functions such as firmware updates. The system can also generate alerts when conditions affecting site security occur, such as a gate failing to close. Ongoing gate maintenance For installing dealers, that remote visibility can help transform ongoing gate maintenance and service. Technicians can diagnose many issues before dispatching a service vehicle, arrive on site with a better understanding of the problem and potentially reduce unnecessary truck rolls. The capability also creates opportunities for dealers to offer ongoing remote monitoring and maintenance services. For end-users and facility or security teams, remote monitoring provides greater visibility into the status of a critical vehicle access point and enables alerts when an issue requires attention. OSCO 725 is also compatible with established Linear RF accessories, providing continuity for customers and installers already familiar with the technology while bringing those capabilities together with Nice’s latest gate operator and control technologies. Nice announces MCX, a new commercial door operator platform designed for demanding applications across warehouses, loading docks, and industrial facilities. Attendees of IDAExpo+ 2026 will be among the first to see the platform in person, with Nice showcasing MCX at booth #1307. The platform launches across three models — the MCX-J jackshaft operator, the MCX-H jackshaft hoist, and the MCX-GH heavy-duty jackshaft hoist — and will be available through the Nice authorized distributor network. Commercial door operators “MCX is a major step forward for Nice in commercial door operators,” says Scotty Coristine, Product Manager at Nice. “It delivers the performance high-cycle environments demand while simplifying installation and reducing complexity for our partners.” MCX replaces a fragmented lineup of voltage- and handing-specific models with a single platform architecture. All operators accept 120V through 240V single- or three-phase input with automatic voltage detection, eliminating manual configuration and reducing installation errors. For higher-voltage applications, the same platform supports 460/575V through an optional transformer kit, removing the need for dedicated high-voltage SKUs. Field-reversible handing further reduces the number of variants distributors need to stock and installers need to carry. Modular accessory system The operators are built on a microprocessor-based control system with integrated Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, supporting over-the-air firmware updates and end-user access through the Nice G.O. app. All programming and setup are performed at ground level via the high-resolution MCX Control Station, reducing installation time and eliminating the need for ladder-based adjustments during commissioning and service. Onboard fault logging and diagnostics are included as standard features. A modular accessory system, including electromechanical brakes and other field-installable options, allows configurations to be customized at the point of need rather than stocked as separate SKUs.
