The NV-214A-M passive single channel UTP video transceiver from NVT scored 85%, the highest product rating overall
Benchmark magazine also bestowed NVT's NV-214A-M with the ‘Benchmark Recommended Status

In a recent Benchmark magazine group test of UTP video transceivers, the NV-214A-M passive single channel UTP video transceiver from Network Video Technologies scored 85%, and the highest product rating overall.

Benchmark, the magazine that prides itself on being the only publication in the security industry dedicated to establishing a performance index for electronic security products, also bestowed the NV-214A-M with ‘Benchmark Recommended Status’.

This accolade is awarded only to products that score 80% or higher in Benchmark’s rigorous independent testing process; confirming that the NV-214A-M has passed an application-specific testing process and reached a very high standard.

Designed for use with any analog static or P/T/Z surveillance camera, the NV-214A-M passive single channel video transceiver allows the transmission of real-time monochrome or colour video over UTP (unshielded twisted-pair) cable and includes a 9-inch mini-coax BNC fly-lead for fast and simple installation.

When used in combination with any NVT Active Receiver or Hub, the NV-214A-M delivers a fully equalised signal and is compatible with today’s DVR technology at distances up to 1km. Covered by NVT’s lifetime warranty, the NV-214A-M also delivers unparalleled interference rejection, enabling UTP video signals to co-exist adjacent to telephone, datacom, or low-voltage power. This advantage affords the use of shared or existing cable infrastructure, and can yield significant cost savings and greatly simplify installations.

In conclusion, Benchmark’s independent testers acknowledged that: “NVT has been providing unshielded twisted pair video transmission products for many years and are the accepted experts in this field. Certainly the NVT products inspire confidence. That the (NVT) units lead the way is no surprise to anyone looking at the UTP sector.”
