Conway Security Products' Managing Director Chris Newman has set off on a 240-mile charity cycle ride from Naphill in Bucks to Broad Haven on the western tip of Wales.

James Campanini is the M.D. of Cisco WebEx while Matthew Piercy is an executive with the cloud computing company VMware. Ian Marchant works in noise control and Ian Bond owns a classic car restoration company. Andy Pope is the fittest member and runs half marathons as if he were going to the corner shop for a paper.

The cyclists have more bikes than Lance Armstrong but have chosen road models to take them through the Cotswolds and around the top of the Brecon Beacons before descending into South Pembrokeshire. They come to this stern challenge after an unimpressive performance in the London to Brighton ride where they were close to bringing up the rear.
