Abloy UK had opened a new series of seminars with a focus on education, offering industry consultants and end-users the opportunity to find out more about the security issues in this sector.

The first ‘Open Door Session', held at ASSA ABLOY Headquarters in Willenhall, included presentations on the different levels of security in a school building, and the importance of complying with current industry standards and Building Regulations.

Guests also received an update on the security solutions available for education buildings from the ASSA ABLOY group portfolio, which range from perimeter and external locking to access control.

Says Tabitha Morton, Sales Director at Abloy UK: "The Open Door Sessions are our chance to present the latest industry developments in a structured and comprehensive manner. They are also an opportunity to highlight the importance of compliance as key specification criteria."

"Education was an important starting point due to the complexities surrounding balancing the need for security with accessibility and safety. Those who attended commented on how insightful and valuable the event was for helping them to understand the solutions, and technical support available."

For further information or to attend future Open Door Sessions on infrastructure facilities (22nd September and 23rd September), please visit the Abloy website.
