RVR’s surveillance training benefits to be available to third parties
Remote Video Response is one of UK's leading providers of remote monitoring services

Remote Video Response, one of UK's leading providers of remote monitoring services and an approved National Open College Network (NOCN) facility, is to provide third-party training in the use of CCTV surveillance in public spaces. RVR is part of UTC Fire & Security, a unit of United Technologies Corp.

"RVR will train local authorities, private companies and other remote video response centres," says Colin Walters, General Manager of RVR.

"Anyone who needs public space surveillance (PSS) license to operate needs to be formally trained and accredited," he said. "We provide training to our own staff, but as an approved training centre and with our qualified instructors, we are able to extend this capability to third parties."

Courses for PSS training involve more than 30 hours in the classroom, concluding with a written examination that, if passed, results in a qualification certificate and an approved license being issued that is valid for three years.

National Open College Network (NOCN) is a nationally recognized awarding body and is accredited by the Regulatory Authorities in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. National qualifications are approved by these government-appointed authorities, which ensure the quality and standards of qualifications.
