The AXIS Q1755 provides the perfect solution for securing areas where greater image detail is required
Castleford Tigers RLFC are committed to ensuring that their stadium on matchday is a safe and friendly environment. As such, with the generous help of Axis Communications and White Rose Security Solutions, the club are fitting security cameras in their stadium to ensure that anyone causing trouble at the Jungle can be clearly identified and in turn, make it easier for appropriate action be taken.

Tigers CEO Richard Wright said: "Although the Jungle rarely witnesses any serious crowd problems, the incident at the recent Catalans match made it important that we acted quickly to do everything possible to ensure that there wasn't a reoccurrence. We have always prided ourselves on being a family club and we don't intend to allow the behaviour of what is a very small number of fans to spoil this.

"One of the first thoughts that we had was the fitting of video cameras and we are extremely grateful to Axis Communications for providing us with the hardware and White Rose Security Solutions for undertaking the installation to enable us to do this. Incidents can happen but it is often difficult to deal with the culprits because they aren't spotted, or others are (understandably) reluctant to identify them. This facility will be a massive help in helping us to identify any trouble causers, and if we do, we will have no hesitation in banning them from the Jungle."

Phil Doyle, managing director, UK & Ireland, Axis Communications said: "Axis Communications are the global leaders in the network video market. We are happy to supply the AXIS Q1755, an outstanding network camera which provides the perfect solution for securing areas where greater image detail is required. This high image quality makes this product perfect for crowd monitoring as it will make it easier to identify individual trouble makers, and we are very pleased to be helping the Tigers with this initiative."

Tim Mason, Managing Director of WRS said: "As one of the regions premier installers of CCTV, access control and intruder alarm systems we have previously partnered with Axis on other successful projects and we are delighted to have the opportunity to work with them in aiding the Tigers to provide a secure family friendly environment. The system we are installing meets their specific requirements of deterring future crowd trouble which is great new for all their fans."
