Tavcom Training has opened the doors of its new purpose-built Training Centre in the heart of rural Hampshire.  Only a few months after moving into brand new office premises at the Claylands Business Park in Bishops Waltham the company seized an opportunity to purchase an adjacent commercial building, which it has now fully transformed into an extensive state-of-the-art training facility.

The new Training Centre offers an enormous range of benefits to the increasing numbers of delegates who come to Tavcom from every sector of the security systems industry.  These benefits include a dedicated CCTV and IP workshop and lecture room, which has been fully equipped with the latest digital technology.  This workshop is supported by a separate and fully functional CCTV Control Room, which operates an array of cameras installed in locations up to 15 metres high around the new complex.  This imaginative and well-designed electronic network will provide Tavcom's students with the exciting opportunity to commission, install and operate CCTV and integrated systems in a unique and authentic ‘real world' environment.

Those who are attending Intruder Alarm, Access Control and Fire Alarm courses will also be able to work with the latest technology in a specially designed and built ‘Alarms Cabin' which has been constructed alongside the main building.

The new Training Centre also boasts a product-testing laboratory, additional soundproofed lecture theatres for both large and small groups and a comfortable reception and relaxation area with refreshments and flat screen TV.  After morning study sessions, revitalising lunches are provided at a nearby inn, which is situated only a short walk or drive from the new building.  An excellent selection of residential accommodation for all budgets is also available in the local area.

Delegates who may have suffered parking difficulties at other training or conference venues will also be pleased to learn that there is ample free and secure car parking within the fenced perimeter of the new building.  There is also full access to all areas for those delegates who suffer from disabilities.

For Tavcom's Director of Training, Mike Tennent, the opening of the new Training Centre is the realisation of a long cherished ambition.

"It has always been my objective to bring our offices and training rooms into much closer proximity" said Mike.  "After our recent relocation into a new administrative building, the chance to develop a new Training Centre just 50 metres away was too good an opportunity to miss.  It was particularly rewarding to be able to design the new facility on a ‘blank canvas', allowing us to incorporate all manner of innovative features which will be of enormous benefit and enjoyment to our delegates and tutors."

"The past few years has been a period of enormous change and growth for Tavcom Training" added Mike.  "To be able to amalgamate our whole operation in this way is the fulfilment of a personal dream and the icing on the company's cake.  We are now very well placed to build on our recent successes and we look forward to a very bright future in our new home."
