Video surveillance power solutions by Altronix at ASIS 2011

Altronix, the leading manufacturer of low voltage power supplies and accessories for the electronic security industry, is exhibiting a wide range of power solutions for video surveillance, access control, fire/life safety and intrusion detection at ASIS 2011. Featured products include the introduction of the company's new WayPoint™ Outdoor Power Supplies and UL listed field-installable sub-assemblies, as well as ReServ™ UL listed UPS Power Supplies, HubWay™ UTP Transceiver Hubs, NetWay™ Midspan PoE Power Injectors and Maximal™ Access Power Controllers.

"The demand for more advanced power solutions continues to escalate as new technologies are deployed in the security and surveillance market," said Alan Forman, President, Altronix. "Our wide portfolio of innovative power solutions makes it even easier for installers and system designers to implement efficient, effective and reliable power systems."

New to the product line are WayPoint Outdoor Power Supplies. A complete outdoor power solution, WayPoint operates single or multiple cameras or devices. Various models offer both 24VAC and 28VAC simultaneously, or 12VDC or 24VDC with features that include 115VAC/230VAC or 277VAC input and LED power status indicators. To ensure reliability in outdoor or harsh internal environments, all WayPoint models feature a lightweight IP66/NEMA4/4X rated outdoor enclosure with lockable stainless latches. Integral flanges provide easier handling and mounting.

Also being introduced at ASIS 2011 are Altronix's UL listed Sub-Assemblies. The wide range of field-installable sub-assemblies, designed for the company's popular UL listed Maximal Access Power Controllers and Power Supplies, can be easily configured to the exact power solution either in the field or in the shop - while maintaining their UL listings.

Rounding Altronix's highlighted products on display at ASIS 2011 are the UL listed ReServ Uninterruptible Power Supplies that combine an Altronix power supply and UPS into a single solution to keep video cameras on even when the power is gone.
