Adam Wiseberg joins Mirasys as Chairman
Mirasys, one of the world's leading providers of open platform digital CCTV and video surveillance solutions, appointed Adam Wiseberg as group chairman following its Annual General Meeting in Helsinki yesterday. Wiseberg was most recently a main board director at CCTV manufacturer AD Group, where he spent 12 years and helped in growing turnover from under £1 million to nearly £90 million in 5 years, winning widespread industry recognition, including the Deloitte Indy 100 award for the fastest growing UK company in 2004 and several personal awards. He also served as chairman of the British Security Industry Association from 2006-2008.

"I'm really excited to be joining Mirasys, an innovative company which has been doing some great things recently," said Wiseberg at the ISC West conference in Las Vegas. "The future of video surveillance is very bright, and Mirasys, which is renowned for providing its customers with effective high-resolution solutions today, is poised to significantly increase its share in a competitive market. More and more users are demanding increased functionality together with ease of operation from their video surveillance systems, as well as solutions which can integrate the latest megapixel camera technology, and Mirasys offers that flexibility to its customers."

"Adam Wiseberg is a greatly respected leader in the video surveillance community, and we're delighted to welcome him to Mirasys," says Jukka Riivari, chief executive of Mirasys

Jukka Riivari, chief executive of Mirasys said: "Adam Wiseberg is a greatly respected leader in the video surveillance community, and we're delighted to welcome him to Mirasys. We are confident that with Adam's leadership we will continue to build on the rich potential at Mirasys, expanding into exciting new markets faster and demonstrating the power and value of our software solutions in a broader range of vertical sectors."

Mirasys markets software solutions such as the NVR Enterprise, a comprehensive enterprise level security platform, and NVR Pro, an entry-level IP video surveillance platform. It also provides hardware including a range of networked video recorders that support the H.264 data compression standard, which means less disk storage space and less bandwidth is required to capture high-resolution footage.
