Pelco is a global leader in the design, development and manufacture of video security equipment, with a long and prestigious history of offering high-quality products and exceptional customer service.  They are now taking a big step into the future with IP technology, launching their first-ever network video cameras at the ISC West 2007 security trade show.  Part of this new initiative includes an early development program with Milestone Systems, the world market leader for open platform IP video management software, to cooperate in developing Milestone XProtect support for the new hardware products.

"We have selected Milestone as the first recognized third-party IP software management platform to support Pelco IP cameras, and we have worked with them during the development of the Application Program Interface.  Milestone has integrated their software solutions to work with our cameras, with the goal to have this integration ready for the cameras' launch," reports Dave Smith, VP Product Strategy at Pelco.

The new network cameras to be unveiled at ISC West are the Pelco Camclosure IP Series of cameras.  The IP110 Series is the first system available in the Camclosure IP family and is available with multiple lens and camera options including Day/Night Wide Dynamic Range (WDR), Day/Night High Resolution, Color WDR, and Color High Resolution.  The new WDR pixel-based imagers digitize light at the point of capture, producing remarkably clear images in any lighting condition, with impressive lowlight sensitivity at full frame rate.

Users of the new Pelco IP cameras will have the opportunity to experience the Milestone XProtect software with a free one-camera license that will be included in the camera packages.

"Pelco is a noble giant in the security industry, well-known for its reliability and satisfied customers. Milestone also delivers dependable, robust and proven IP video solutions worldwide, so it's a natural and positive synergy for us to provide the first software management solution for Pelco's new cameras," says Lars Thinggaard, CEO of Milestone Systems.
