Bosch And Emizon Signs New Agreement To Harness 21CN

Bosch Security Systems has signed a co-operation agreement with Emizon - the secure, 24/7 managed messaging service for 21^st Century Networks (21CN) - to provide a Stand-Alone Telemetry Communications Device (TCD) to enable alarm panels to be directly and easily connected to the Emizon Service Platform.

The new TCD, to be distributed throughout the UK using Bosch's extensive distribution contacts, features 16 pin alarm inputs and dual path IP and GPRS signaling.  It complies with all relevant European Norms (ENs), 21CN, meets police requirements for confirmed alarms and is in line with current insurance industry requirements.  Very easy to install straight out of the box, the new device is designed for all security installations requiring secure signaling up to EN Grade 4.

Darren Cox, Product Manager of Bosch Security Systems, explains, "The new TCD is the latest addition to the Bosch signaling portfolio and is available with the added feature of dual path signaling to supplement the existing BLU STU.  It will enable installers to connect to the Emizon Service Platform quickly and easily, whilst still maintaining the high security standards associated with traditional dual path signaling services.

"One of the key advantages will be cost.  There will now be no need for a designated PSTN line with the associated rental costs, and monitoring costs will also be subject to cost savings.  The TCD can be installed and commissioned in a single visit, which again enables the installer to make best use of their time."
