Specialist security provider Allegion UK has appointed Philip Hamilton as business development manager of its UK business to strengthen Allegion’s new and existing business opportunities in the North. Hamilton joins Allegion UK following 25 years in sales roles, with notable previous experience across a number of electronic security products manufacturers including Gardiner Technology as Area Sales Manager. James Keith joins Allegion following 13 years in product, brand and category management roles across automative, health and safety and home improvement industries. Keith’s role with Allegion will involve direct engagement and involvement with end users and the challenges they face, bringing complete solution packages to full fruition. He will deliver differentiated and unique offerings to targeted vertical markets, such as healthcare and education, and end user environments. Specialist security provider Allegion has appointed Pete Hancox as Commercial Leader of its UK and Ireland businesses to build and lead strategic partnerships in specification. Hancox joins Allegion UK in Birmingham from his recent role as Client Services Director for HP Doors. He will also be in charge of overseeing Ireland’s commercial activity. Hancox is no stranger to Allegion, having been part of the Ingersoll Rand security group for almost nine years, prior to his appointment with HP Doors. Allegion formed as a result of the spin-off of Ingersoll Rand’s commercial and residential security business in 2013. Developing Strategic Partnerships The new role has been created by Allegion as part of its strategy to develop more strategic partnerships with its customers. It is widely recognized in the industry that door hardware is becoming more sophisticated as electronics and mechanical hardware merge. Allegion will educate customers on the benefits new technology is brings and how to incorporate it in long-term commercial properties.
