Keith Newton said the agreement willhelp SilverNet build a pan-Europeanpresence SilverNet has appointed communication solutions specialist Distrimedia to distribute its wireless networking range in France. "Following on from the success achieved over recent years in the UK, SilverNet is looking to develop a strong pan-European presence and we fully appreciate that in order to do so, we need to work with business partners who understand local market requirements in key countries such as France," said Keith Newton, Business Development Manager for SilverNet. "We are therefore very pleased that Distrimedia will be supporting Silvernet in France. It is a company that since 1992 has built an excellent reputation for providing installers and systems integrators with expert advice on the design and implementation of IP network projects based solutions." SilverNet’s wireless systems, which include Point to Point, Point to Multipoint and Backhaul options, can deliver substantial savings compared to the cost of traditional cabling methods or leased lines. They offer a highly cost-effective option for businesses and organizations that are looking at ways to reduce their ongoing infrastructure costs.
The latest addition to the SilverNet wireless network range is designed to add significant value to a town center’s video surveillance system by providing police with immediate access to video of any suspicious activity or of a developing incident. SilverNet’s ACCESS 240 Dual AP provides authorized users a secure local connection in order to view live or recorded video captured by a town center’s security cameras. It offers police who may be ‘on the beat’ or in a patrol car, with the opportunity to verify via a laptop, tablet or smartphone, if a suspect may have been involved in anti-social or criminal activity. Ultrafast radio speed and MIMO spatial multiplexing enables the SilverNet ACCESS 240 Dual AP to offer outstanding data throughput capabilities on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequencies. “This easy to install, but highly effective innovation is already attracting the attention of local authority control room management who can see the potential to achieve maximum advantage from their investment in a wireless network based video surveillance system by providing the police with a powerful tool to enable them to respond more effectively to any incidents,” said Keith Newton, SilverNet’s Business Development Manager. “The good news is that it can be cost-effectively added to existing wireless networks as well as being deployed as part of the wireless network solutions for new projects.”
