With security and safety a major focus during the recent World Cup in Russia, IDIS surveillance technology was chosen for a surveillance upgrade at the 45,000 capacity Rostov Arena and the 35,000 capacity Kaliningrad Stadium. At both locations an IDIS Total Solution was installed with a total of 3000 IP cameras comprising full HD and H.265 models and PTZ cameras featuring Smart UX Controls v2.0, a range of full HD, true wide dynamic range (WDR), IR bullet cameras and full HD box cameras with all external cameras equipped to withstand Russia’s often harsh weather conditions. IDIS technology deployed at these response centers enabled security staff to rapidly detect and respond to any breach of health and safety, suspicious behavior or terrorist threat IDIS Critical Failover To Prevent Data Loss A centralized surveillance monitoring center utilising an IDIS ultra-thin bezel 55” video wall delivered command and control of the two stadiums and allowed security staff to access 60 days of archived footage from 50 remote IDIS DR-8364 NVRs implemented at situational centers. IDIS technology deployed at these response centers enabled security staff to rapidly detect and respond to any breach of health and safety, suspicious behavior or terrorist threat. For complete protection, IDIS Critical Failover was installed in order to prevent loss of vital recorded data during a range of fault conditions. The system automatically steps in to ensure continued recording in the event of network instability, network failure, storage failure, recorder hardware failure and power supply failure, in each case ensuring that no data is lost. Our advanced technology helped to ensure safety and security by preventing unauthorized intrusion" Preventing Unauthorized Intrusion "The IDIS surveillance system, installed inside and around the stadium gave security controllers a complete overview of the site and perimeter fences,” said Joon Jun, President of the Global Business Division of IDIS. “Our advanced technology helped to ensure safety and security by preventing unauthorized intrusion. "We are proud that our brand credibility and product stability has been recognized on the global stage at an event which was the focus of world attention. To safeguard thousands of visitors at these key venues, it was essential to use the most reliable technology including high-resolution surveillance cameras with waterproof and dustproof functions and a solution that prevented data loss in the event of network instability."
IDIS will feature its new IDIS Ultimate Warranty at the ASIS International Exhibition in Dallas, Texas. Breaking free from industry norms of three to five years, the new IDIS guarantees extend protections for its latest-generation technologies by two-years, bringing the warranty for H.265 NVRs and multi-format HD-TVI, DirectCX TVRs to an unprecedented seven years. The new extended warranty gives IDIS integrators and installers a clear competitive advantage and delivers increased peace of mind with a lower cost of ownership to end users. The IDIS Ultimate Warranty is also particularly competitive when compared to PC-based solutions that typically handle up to 64-channels, which have a maximum warranty of three years, forcing end users to purchase additional warranties before the end of their surveillance solution’s lifecycle. IDIS Ultimate Warranty A survey conducted by IFSEC Global showed most organizations look to upgrade surveillance systems after four to six years. With the IDIS Ultimate Warranty, end users can be confident that their IDIS solution will be supported for its entire life cycle, a demonstration of IDIS’s confidence in its quality and reliability. Joon Jun, president of the IDIS Global Business Division, notes “as [IDIS has] brought every new innovative product to market, each element has been designed and manufactured in-house with quality and reliability in mind. We still have IDIS DVRs installed over 13 years ago in operation that have required little to no maintenance. This is a testament to IDIS quality and reliability, and one that makes the IDIS Ultimate Warranty, which extends our guarantees for some products to as many as 7 years, a natural step.”

The annual program evaluates Korean companies and their global exports from an array of industry sectors IDIS, South Korea’s largest surveillance manufacturer, announces that the company has received two esteemed World Class Product of Korea awards from the Ministry of Trade Industry and Energy (MOTIE) and the Korean Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA). The annual program evaluates Korean companies and their global exports from across an array of industry sectors, including ship building, plastics, petrochemicals, electronic goods, and security products, among many others. For any given product to be selected, the global market needs to exceed $50M and be twice the size of the Korean domestic market, with exports accounting for more than 30% of the same product sold in Korea. In addition, total Korean sales of that product must be ranked top five in terms of global market share and in 2015, sales of Korean IP dome cameras and network video recorders (NVRs) ranked fifth in the world, with more than five percent market share, qualifying them to be evaluated within this highly-respected awards program. Over $5M Global Annual Exports Each company is appraised by its relevant industry association, where the findings are then presented to MOTIE and KOTRA for final evaluation. IDIS and other Korean surveillance manufacturers were judged using stringent criteria by a panel of experts from the Korean Electronics Association (KEA) over the course of many weeks. In addition to financial data, the judges also looked for assurance of product quality, reliability, technical capabilities, and marketability. IDIS proved, based on 2015 financial data, that export sales of both its IP dome cameras and NVRs, met the benchmark of more than $5M of global exports annually. Impressed by the findings of KEA in terms of export sales and the quality, reliability, and innovative nature of IDIS products, MOTIE and KOTRA awarded IDIS with two prestigious awards for both IDIS IP dome cameras and DirectIP NVRs. "This recognition really cements the fact that IDIS has grown to become a true global player in the world security market" Two Decades Of Innovation Joon Jun, President of the Global Business Division, said, “Our level of exports clearly demonstrates that customers around the world recognize and appreciate the quality and reliability of IDIS products.
