Showcasing the power of partnerships, barox and Gallagher will highlight their joint value proposition at GSX, booth #3433, 14-16 September, Georgia World Congress Center, Atlanta. Revealing seamless integration with Gallagher Security’s award-winning Command Centre site management platform, at the show, a range of barox Ethernet switches will demonstrate how an unparalleled level of monitoring and diagnostics capability can be achieved in just a single integrated platform, covering every aspect of access control, security networks, and network infrastructure. Site management platform Gallagher Command Centre is a scalable security and site management platform used to manage people, access, alarms, reporting and other security operations from a centralized interface. Through its integration with barox, operators can also monitor and manage supported barox network switches and connected IP devices, without having to move between separate management systems. The Gallagher Command Centre integration leverages barox’s embedded Device Management System (DMS), which is built into its switches and provides advanced network monitoring and diagnostic capabilities. Operators can remotely reboot supported IP devices and switch ports, run network diagnostics, monitor network events and gain greater visibility of connected devices, helping to simplify the management of complex security networks. Complex security networks For security teams, this can mean faster fault diagnosis and resolution, fewer unnecessary site visits, reduced support costs and improved network uptime. By bringing network infrastructure information into Command Centre, organizations can also reduce the need to rely on specialist network resources for routine troubleshooting and maintenance. The integration is particularly relevant to North American organizations operating high-security and mission-critical environments, including government, critical infrastructure, education, transportation and data centre applications, where system availability, cybersecurity and rapid fault resolution are essential. UL-certified solutions barox Kommunikation has more than 25 years of experience developing networking and transmission products specifically for demanding security and video applications. Its portfolio includes Ethernet switches, media converters, IP extenders and network management technology designed to simplify the operation of complex security networks. barox maintains ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 27001 certifications, while its products include UL-certified solutions and the company states full NDAA and TAA compliance. Their licence-free Device Management System (DMS) is built directly into barox switches and integrates with Gallagher Security’s Command Centre, enabling operators and engineers to remotely reboot devices, run full network diagnostics, and resolve faults all from one interface, without necessarily dispatching a specialist engineer to site. Resilient security operations Providing smarter, more resilient security operations, in one platform users will get full visibility of security network and infrastructure in one pane of glass. The benefits include faster issue resolution with remote reboot and diagnostics, reduced site visits and costs through remote management, improved uptime & cyber security with proactive monitoring and less reliance on specialist IT resources. “We are thrilled to be partnering with Gallagher on their GSX booth and to showcase our Command Centre integration to the North American market,” says Sara Fisher, Head of Sales at barox. “There are strong synergies between our organizations, particularly in the high-security sector, and we see significant opportunities to bring greater value to customers by combining Gallagher’s security management capabilities with barox’s network monitoring and diagnostic technology.” Security management capabilities “GSX is also an important opportunity for us to hear directly from customers, integrators and security professionals across North America and gain their feedback on the integration and the operational benefits it can deliver.” Blake Smith, National Technical Manager at Gallagher Security, says: “Together, Gallagher Security and barox are helping to reduce system complexity and increase resilience across high-security networks. By bringing network monitoring and management capabilities into Command Centre, customers can gain greater visibility of their security infrastructure and respond more quickly when network-connected devices experience issues.” High-security applications “This is particularly valuable for high-security applications such as government, critical infrastructure, education and data centers, where system availability and rapid fault resolution are essential to maintaining secure and reliable operations.” “The barox Command Center integration and partnership with Gallagher showcases the power of barox’s networking hardware and broad ecosystem of VMS & PSIM plugin integrations,” says Reinhard Florin, President of barox Communications Corp. “The combined solution transforms the network from a passive infrastructure into an active intelligence layer for physical and video security.” Enterprise-grade network switches The barox and Gallagher integration is available for Gallagher Command Centre v8.50 and above, with the integration supporting the barox RY range of Layer 3 industrial and enterprise-grade network switches. Visitors to GSX 2026, booth #3433, can see the integration in operation and discuss how barox and Gallagher Security can help simplify the management and support of resilient, high-performance security networks.

Insights & Opinions from thought leaders at Gallagher Security
If AI is the dominant buzzword in the physical security industry, it is the second letter (I for intelligence) that is having the biggest impact. Simply put, intelligence transforms computer systems, including those used for physical security, from rigid, rule-following calculators into adaptable, problem-solving partners to human operators. We asked our Expert Panel Roundtable: What is the changing role of intelligence in physical security?
Traditional security models protected a perimeter like a castle moat, assuming anyone inside was safe. Zero trust removes that implicit trust entirely, recognizing that threats can exist both outside and inside a facility. Zero trust is a routine and accepted concept in cybersecurity. Given the importance of information technology and the increasing convergence of physical and logical security, the tenet is becoming a dominant principle in physical security, too. We asked our Expert Panel Roundtable: Briefly define zero trust and explain how it impacts physical security.
When working in the technology marketplace, it’s always good to expect the unexpected. Increasingly, readiness to anticipate and embrace uncertainty is the baseline for survival in the world of technology. If we in the physical security industry know anything, it is that technology is in a state of perpetual disruption. Therefore, looking ahead to the next 12 months, surprises are inevitable. We turn to our Expert Panel Roundtable for guidance, asking our panelists: What will be the biggest surprise for security in the year ahead?
