GVI Security Solutions Inc. (dba SAMSUNG | GVI Security) is a leading provider of video surveillance security solutions
New strategies emphasize video solutions provider's commitment to service, simplicity and integration

SAMSUNG | GVI Security announced that it has reconfirmed its commitment to providing exceptional  service and support during a time of off-shore product expansion, rapid technology change, increasing supply risk and a widening gap for reliable and quality support. GVI considers simplifying this increasingly complex environment to be a top priority.

"Our channel partners and their end-user customers are pleading with their manufacturers to provide new, stronger commitments to helping them find their way in an industry that has become more complicated," emphasises Steve Walin, CEO of SAMSUNG | GVI Security. "Both the product and service channel and their end-user customers are complaining that they are becoming overwhelmed with the variety of recently-introduced high performance hardware and software that is too difficult to understand, install, use and maintain."

"Therefore, we are deploying a variety of programs to serve our customers and their customers in this changing world," adds Walin. "For instance, we are using inventory as a competitive tool so that we can deliver product quickly. Our promise is to ship on time, every time for most products. We continue the process of introducing and rolling out a series of IP products from Samsung Electronics, including cameras, to meet the emerging technology shift in the video surveillance market to an IP focus."

COO Joe Restivo adds that GVI is focused on providing "Speed- to-Solution," concentrating on customer friendly and reliable support while providing products that are easy-to-install and use.

"We are assisting our customers as they navigate through a fast changing and, at times, confusing environment," stresses Restivo. "We're earning their respect every day by reducing their overall costs of doing business."

In addition to having inventory available for just-in-time (JIT) deliveries, other examples of GVI's service commitment include a trouble-free three-year warranty, money back guarantee program, on-demand training, proactive technical support call closure, in-field sales support, and lead generation programs such as project registration and marketing co-op programs.

Another special service for qualified systems integrators grants access to large project kitting that greatly simplifies installation and reduces cost. Certification programs and system design support are also available.

"Our channel partners and their end-user customers are pleading with their manufacturers to provide new, stronger commitments to helping them find their way in an industry that has become more complicated," emphasises Steve Walin, CEO of SAMSUNG | GVI Security

"GVI and Samsung are very pleased to have the opportunity to make the industry aware of our total support capabilities," underscores Restivo. "We hope integrators and end users will take a few moments to visit our new web site (www.samsung-security.com) and explore their possibilities with us. While navigating, we suggest that they take note of new Samsung products designed for quick and simple installation at the price point they have been wanting. Among our leading new products are the 36X Zoom SmartDome and our high performance 7000 and 8000 series DVRs."

"GVI is also helping customers manage changes in the increasingly complex world of integration in both analog and IP applications," Walin adds. "We are introducing new products that facilitate integration such as our new IP cameras with open and published protocol, POS to DVR, and published protocol for access control to DVR. Samsung is also continuing to invest in analog solutions, providing present customers with additional functionality without having to throw out or be forced to upgrade their current investments in their video systems during these tough economic times."

GVI is consulting with Samsung Electronics to leverage the soon-to-be announced Samsung Electronics A1 chip technology that not only takes resolution to the 600TVL level, but also offers standard features, such as On Screen Display on all cameras to support easy use and installation, WDR and/or XDR to improve image clarity, and, most importantly, built-in analytics. These advanced capabilities will be available in most of the analog camera line.

"With Samsung Electronics as our engineering partner, we look forward to bringing to market the types of hardware surveillance solutions that customers are requesting and demanding plus a myriad of GVI service, simplicity and integration solutions," Restivo confirms.
