VSK Group, the Belgian subsidiary of Allied Defense Group, has been acquired for USD $49 million. VSK designs, develops and markets sophisticated electronic security systems throughout Europe, Africa, the Middle East and the United States. Xtralis' globally recognized brands include ADPRO security surveillance systems, ASIM traffic detection systems, PROACTIV fire control and management solutions and VESDA very early warning smoke detection.
VSK and Xtralis will be run by newly appointed CEO, Samir Samhouri. Mr Samhouri will ensure that VSK and Xtralis work together to build their combined presence in the global security market.
Mr Samhouri said the joint work with VSK Group would provide Xtralis with complementary technologies. "Gaining access to VSK's technology and products is an important strategic step for Xtralis as the company looks to further expand its footprint globally and strengthen its superior detection and analysis technologies," said Mr Samhouri. "Working together, Xtralis and VSK will be able to offer more competitive solutions to our target markets."
