MEL Secure Systems, the leading developer of surveillance and security solutions, has announced the immediate availability of Domehawk HD, a new rapid deployment CCTV solution.  Incorporating the latest mega-pixel technology, Domehawk HD is available with either a full zoom or fixed lens and will help cut crime and reduce the incidence of anti-social behaviour in a wide range of environments.

Domehawk HD features a powerful day/night 5 megapixel camera.  It delivers compressed video streams with resolutions of up to QSXGA (2560x1920) at 8fps and HD 1080P (1920x1080) at full frame rate.  The camera provides excellent contrast for use in low light conditions and has built-in digital noise reduction to minimize video interference and the triggering of false alarms.

According to Peter Druzyc, Managing Director of MEL Secure Systems:  "Domehawk HD delivers eight times more information than can be achieved with standard definition camera systems enabling more data to be extracted from images for improved facial and number plate identification.  It is also available at a similar cost to standard definition systems making it more affordable for a wide range of security and safety applications."
