The 601B/601SB series links transmit serial digital video one way, over one fiber-optic cable. They are available as multimode units with LED emitters or as single-mode Laser emitting versions with ST or FC/PC connectors. The 601B links conform to CCIR601 and SMPTE259M digital video standards. They accommodate serially digitised composite NTSC/PAL data formats as well as 10-bit component video up to 270 Mbits/s. SMARTS diagnostics LEDs on the transmitter and receiver monitor the status of the video and optical signals.
