Intercoax and MOBOTIX have entered into a strategic partnership. This will enable customers of both companies to take advantage of the comprehensive performance of MOBOTIX IP cameras and solutions in combination with the high-performance Intercoax transmission products, even if data transmission takes place via existing copper infrastructures or conventionally structured cable topology. The strategic partnership was confirmed at the MOBOTIX Innovation Summit in Langmeil, Germany at the beginning of April. Prior to this, the two companies had already begun to integrate the respective partner technology and the advantages of Long Range Ethernet into their own products and solutions. Both companies are working on large-scale projects based on the migration from analog to IP over coaxial cables and on new IP camera projects with transmission distances that go far beyond the conventionally structured cable topology. “Many customers are looking for faster and less complex solutions to migrate older copper systems to IP,” says Vincent Matthys, CEO, Intercoax EMEA, adding, “With Intercoax products, existing copper infrastructures can easily be upgraded to IP without the need to install new cabling. This reduces both customer costs and end-user disruption to an absolute minimum.” strategic collaboration Intercoax solutions do not alter the on-site infrastructure and can be deployed much more quickly“Our partner Intercoax is a perfect match as their technology enables us to integrate our products and solutions with customers whose network infrastructures and cable topology are not designed to accommodate these. Intercoax allows us to avoid expensive rewiring and to install a future-proof IP video surveillance system using the existing network infrastructure,” explains Hartmut Sprave, CTO of MOBOTIX AG. The main gain for the installers of MOBOTIX products and solutions or system integrators is that they can now offer end users a significantly cheaper solution compared to conventional transmission topologies such as fiber optics and structured cable. Intercoax solutions do not alter the on-site infrastructure and can be deployed much more quickly than other topologies. “We are very pleased to have formed this strategic collaboration with MOBOTIX, the highly experienced and leading IP camera manufacturer. Our proven Intercoax transmission technology helps installers easily migrate analog systems to IP over existing coax or UTP cable infrastructures. Even when installing wide-range networks, Intercoax solutions represent a much more cost-effective and time-saving solution compared to conventional fiber optic topologies. Moreover, the technology is noninvasive and delivers a cost reduction (TCO) of up to 60%,” emphasizes Vincent Matthys.
Further enhancing the depth of its customer support operation, Intercoax (EMEA), the global manufacturer of high-performance Ethernet-over-coax and twisted pair video, data & PoE transmission products, has introduced two new schemes. Intercoax’s Proof of Concept (PoC) scheme is a ‘free of charge’ service that allows Intercoax customers to confirm equipment performance by on-site evaluation of any combination of Long Reach Ethernet (LRE) products (for coax, UTP or 2 wire cable)- prior to committing to a project specification. PoC 1 features 2 LRE managed receiver switches, and single channel transceivers, while PoC 2 features single channel transceivers, for both coax and UTP cable PoC Kit With LRE Managed Receiver Switches The portable Intercoax 19” rack mount PoC demonstration kit includes everything required to test any combination of LRE products/applications, using either of two Intercoax kit formats. PoC 1 features 2 LRE managed receiver switches (coax and UTP), and single channel transceivers, while PoC 2 features single channel transceivers, for both coax and UTP cable. “Demonstrating the power of Intercoax technology in the field is the best way to illustrate the performance advantages of our Ethernet technology,” commented Vincent Matthys, CEO of Intercoax EMEA. “By providing this service, customers can confirm the technical capability of our transmission solutions before they commit to specifying the technology. By demonstrating the products on-site, it’s easy for customers to see why we are industry leaders at providing a simple migration path from analog systems to IP over existing coax, or UTP cable infrastructure – and all at extended distances up to 2.4km, including PoE for IP end-devices such as IP cameras or VoiP telephones.” Intercoax’s new Project Registration Scheme ensures system designers can provide customers with the most efficient, economical and high-performance Ethernet solution High-Performance Ethernet Solution In addition to the PoC Kits, Intercoax’s new Project Registration Scheme ensures system designers can provide customers with the most efficient, economical and high-performance Ethernet solution possible. Accessed via an on-line form available at intercoax-emea.com, installers and integrators can complete the form to receive support benefits including technical liaison with the Intercoax project design team, and up to 20% discount off project equipment costs. Vincent continues: “The combination of our PoC demonstration technology combined with our new Project Registration scheme ensures that Intercoax customers receive the highest-level of local support - right from the initiation of a project through to handover of the system.”
Intercoax, the global manufacturer of high-performance Ethernet-over-coax and twisted pair video, data & PoE transmission products, will be launching a host of new high-performance Ethernet transmission products at IFSEC 2018. For video, data and power transmission applications up to 2.4Kms, the new range of Intercoax managed multiport Long Range Ethernet switches permit the use of any type of coax or UTP/twisted pair cable, and include up to 60W PoE budget/port. The new HPS-1008RM 19" rack mountable 8+2 port Gigabit Hybrid PoE Switch can be used to transmit 1Gbps Ethernet and support PoE+ (up to 25.5W). Remote Monitoring And Management Using the new HP-01 (2 Port Hybrid PoE Switch), 100Mbps Ethernet transmission and PoE+ power support up to 250m transmission along with the connection of multiple devices in cascade mode. Featuring built-in standard PSE and the over current protection, the device supplies secured PoE+ power up to 25.5W/port. The device’s NMS (Network Management System) featuring a Browser based GUI & exclusive management software allows the remote monitoring and management of multiple Hybrid PoE Switches. EPR-1001 overcomes the restrictive 100m max distance limitation of standards network configuration Intercoax Ethernet Transmission Technology The new EPR-1001 (Gigabit Ethernet & PoE+ Repeater) overcomes the restrictive 100m max distance limitation of standards network configuration. For greater distances, the devices can be added by daisy chaining (up to 750m) for easy IP extension. Highly cost effective, the device is an easy installation solution for all kinds of PoE (IEEE802.3af), PoE+ (IEEE802.3at) compliant devices, and offers installers high power PoE (up to 60W) outputs using a 56VDC/1.2A power supply. "With these new Ethernet transmission products, Intercoax is supporting installers and end-users to easily migrate analog systems to IP over existing coax, or UTP cable infrastructure, and at extended distances up to 2.4km, and including a PoE budget of 60W per port,” says Vincent Matthys, CEO of Intercoax EMEA. “Our tried and tested Intercoax transmission technology range of reliable single and multi-channel data and PoE solutions offers high-quality, high-performance, and reliable transmission solutions, in both managed and unmanaged versions."
