Digifort integrates with more manufacturers’ cameras than any other VMS and supports edge recording and edge analytics Digifort has announced that its open platform VMS and analytics software now integrates with more than sixty leading CCTV manufacturers’ equipment. The integrated brands include HikVision, at the low-cost end of the market, through to Avigilon and Axis at the high-cost end. Each manufacturer has comprehensive fixed camera and fully functional PTZ ranges, giving more than 6,000 integrated cameras in total. A number of video servers, NVRs and DVRs are also integrated. Integration Features “Digifort has made it a priority to enable SDK integration with over 100 manufacturers’ cameras,” explains Francois Levy, Digifort Business Development Director for EMEA. “We offer generic ONVIF integration, like other leading VMS platforms, but only the SDK-level integration allows the in-depth functionality we prefer. Typical functionality includes telemetry control, auto-focus zoom, pre-sets, patrols, privacy zones and auxiliary functions such as lights and wipers. However, unlike most other VMS suppliers, we also enable edge recording, edge analytics and edge ALPR from within Digifort’s VMS, if supported in the cameras. This maximizes the potential and performance of an integrated Digifort system.” “We offer generic ONVIF integration, like other leading VMS platforms, but only the SDK-level integration allows the in-depth functionality we prefer" “Multiple video stream processing, with optimized resolutions for recording and viewing devices, is standard. Many camera features can be remotely configured from the VMS using the global ‘push’ command functionality for simultaneous, multi-camera set-up. This is ideal for large-scale system management. Also, Digifort’s unique two-way audio functionality, if supported by the camera, includes a ‘listening’ feature, where noise above a designated threshold can be used to trigger an alarm, such as from an intruder. Alternatively, an alarm can be raised if an otherwise noisy site becomes quiet, such as for production line and process monitoring.” Systems Migration Many manufacturers’ DVRs are also integrated with Digifort. This is to allow the simple and cost-effective encoding of analog and TVI cameras into the IP-based, VMS platform. This integration is ideal for systems migrating to IP or where analog cable infrastructures must be re-used. Digifort’s other video analytic functions include traffic management (speed filter), object tracking, loitering, virtual fence, missing object, abandoned object, face detection and recognition, vehicle counting and people counting.
New features of version 7.2 include metadata processing for increased video processing speed with fast search and retrieval functionality Digifort, the open platform VMS and analytics company, is pleased to announce the release of version 7.2 of its market-leading software. New enterprise features and sophisticated system functionality have been added, however, Digifort remains intuitive to use and simple to manage. Efficient Video Processing New features of version 7.2 include metadata processing for increased video processing speed and fast search and retrieval functionality,” explains Francois Levy, Digifort Business Development Director for EMEA. “Our VMS now includes a Timeline Zoom feature for improved navigation. BriefCam video synopsis has been integrated, so operators can locate site incidents quickly using a wide range of simply applied, search criteria, such as object size, colour, direction, dwell time and speed.” “A camera preview pane is included at registration, increasing set up efficiency. Audio recording on motion detection has also been introduced. Alert emails with links to playback video can be sent to individuals or groups. Edge recording now benefits from download control and 64-bit operating systems are supported. Hundreds more camera SDK integrations have been added, making Digifort compatible with over 60 manufacturers video hardware ranges. This is more than any other independent VMS platform.” Functionality And Scalability Digifort offers end users and installers a cost-effective, VMS and analytics solution with incredible functionality and scalability. It has a broad range of video analytic functions including ANPR, traffic management (speed filter), object tracking, loitering, virtual fence, missing object, abandoned object, face detection, vehicle counting and people counting. All analytics functions can be used to create research and reporting data.
BriefCam’s Video Synopsis tool tags each incident, allowing operators to isolate individual, relevant incidents for viewing, from a single click Digifort has partnered with BriefCam to offer operators exceptional forensic search and review functionality, from within its open platform video management software (VMS) platform. “Briefcam is a powerful video search tool, which integrates with Digifort’s intelligent data processing to make surveillance systems far more effective,” explains Francois Levy, Digifort Business Development Director for EMEA. “BriefCam enables operators to locate specific incidents quickly using a range of simply applied search criteria.” Quick Reviewing Of Incidents Video data from Digifort is uploaded from each camera channel. BriefCam’s intelligent algorithms use metadata to extrapolate objects and activity from within each camera video stream. This is done using search criteria such as object size, color, direction, dwell and speed. Each incident is tagged, allowing operators to isolate individual, relevant incidents for viewing, from a single click BriefCam’s Video Synopsis tool takes all the video data that matches the search criteria, from many surveillance hours, and overlays it onto a new video lasting just a few minutes. Each incident is tagged, allowing operators to isolate individual, relevant incidents for viewing, from a single click. For example, a search of all yellow cars traveling on a highway between 13:00 hrs and 15:00 hrs would show all occurrences overlaid onto just a few minutes of video. The operator can quickly identify the specific car of interest and by clicking it, instantly view the full video of its movement. Enhanced VMS Search And Integration Features Francois stated, “Adding BriefCam to any Digifort VMS system allows users to identify unseen and unreported events; significantly reduce data searching times by using specific object features; process evidence very quickly; reduce operator search times and costs and export and share data effectively.” Applications where BriefCam has experienced great success already include transport infrastructures, airports, stations, retail outlets, town centers, car parks, warehouses, industrial and commercial sites. BriefCam has developed its technology partnership with Digifort to allow powerful integration opportunities with other site security and management tools, such as fire alarms, intruder, access control and building management systems. Digifort is excited to work with BriefCam and offer customers enhanced search features alongside its high specification intelligent VMS solutions. An unlimited number of secure client PCs, tablets and smartphones can access and view the Digifort system.
