Arctic Wolf Integrates Veeam For Stronger Backup Security

Arctic Wolf®, the cybersecurity and AI company, announces a strategic partnership with Veeam, the Data and AI Trust Company, to bring backup and recovery intelligence into the Aurora® Superintelligence Platform, Arctic Wolf’s AI-native security operations platform, helping organizations strengthen security and improve cyber resilience. By integrating Veeam Data Platform events with the Arctic Wolf Aurora Superintelligence Platform and the Aurora Agentic SOC, organizations can extend visibility into critical backup infrastructure, reduce security blind spots, and improve their ability to detect, investigate, and respond to cyber threats. Sophisticated cyber threats As organizations face increasingly sophisticated cyber threats, with AI accelerating both the speed and scale of attacks, backup and recovery environments have become attractive targets for attackers seeking to disrupt operations and increase the impact of an incident. At the same time, growing volumes of security data and limited resources make it harder for security teams to identify the threats that matter most and understand their potential business impact. For many organizations, these risks have already become reality. Arctic Wolf’s 2026 AI & Cybersecurity Trends Report found that 63% of surveyed organizations experienced a significant cybersecurity incident in the past year. In those moments, recovery systems become critical to restoring operations and maintaining business continuity. Yet when backup activity remains siloed from broader security operations, analysts often lack the context needed to quickly assess suspicious activity, understand the scope of an attack, and support recovery efforts. Broader security operations To address this challenge, Veeam security and operational events flow into the Aurora Superintelligence Platform, where Arctic Wolf analyses them alongside more than 10 trillion security events processed each week across customer environments. Arctic Wolf monitors key backup and recovery activity, including malware detections, suspicious user behavior, unauthorized restore attempts, failed backup operations, and administrative changes. By applying targeted detections to these signals, Arctic Wolf helps identify meaningful threats and provide security teams with greater visibility into critical recovery infrastructure. “Organizations depend on their recovery environments to maintain business continuity when an incident happens, making visibility into those systems critical for cyber resilience,” said Dan Schiappa, President, Technology and Services at Arctic Wolf. “In the age of AI, security teams don’t need more alerts. They need context to understand what matters and how to respond. By bringing Veeam backup intelligence into the Aurora Superintelligence Platform, we’re helping customers gain a more complete view of their environment, accelerate investigations, and strengthen the resilience outcomes that matter most to their business.” Most critical components For existing Veeam® Software customers using Arctic Wolf, the partnership adds managed security operations to one of the most critical components of their resilience strategy. Organizations can continue to leverage Veeam’s immutable backups, recovery capabilities, and backup integrity verification while gaining additional visibility, threat monitoring, expert investigation, and security context from Arctic Wolf. “Data and AI trust requires security and resilience to operate as one connected discipline,” said Michelle Graff, Senior Vice President for Global Partners and Channel at Veeam. “By bringing Veeam signals into Arctic Wolf’s security operations platform, we are giving organizations greater visibility into threats affecting their critical data and recovery environments. This partnership helps customers strengthen the trusted, secure, and resilient data foundation they need to maintain business continuity and safely accelerate AI at scale.” Better security decisions The partnership builds on the shared commitment of Arctic Wolf and Veeam to help organizations strengthen cyber resilience through greater visibility and coordination across security and recovery environments. The companies plan to further connect security operations and data resilience, bringing exposure management, detection and response, and recovery workflows closer together to help organizations make better security decisions and improve business resilience.

Veeam Named In Gartner Magic Quadrant For Privacy UX

Veeam® Software, the Data and AI Trust Company, announces that it has been positioned by Gartner, Inc. a pioneer in the first Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Privacy UX. The evaluation was based on specific criteria that analysed the company’s overall Completeness of Vision and Ability to Execute. In their opinion, Veeam’s privacy UX capabilities offer organizations one way to understand, secure, and govern personal data across production and backup environments, so that consent, preferences, and rights hold up across the full data lifecycle. That's the bottom line for privacy: less risk, defensible proof for regulators, and the confidence to restore what matters most without bringing back what shouldn't return. Delivering data security Veeam helps organizations understand where personal data resides, who can access it and how it is being used, enabling them to reduce compliance risk, simplify audits and ensure privacy policies are applied consistently across production and backup environments. Veeam delivers a unified trust layer that connects data, identities, and access to deliver data security, governance, privacy, compliance and resilience so organizations can reduce risk and restore what matters with confidence. "You can't protect what you don't understand, and you can't promise privacy you can't prove," said Anand Eswaran, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Veeam. "Privacy is a commitment that has to survive across every copy of their data, in production and in backup. Veeam is the first to unify data security, governance, privacy, compliance and resilience together, and that's why we lead this market worldwide." Identity intelligence graph This recognition follows a period of rapid expansion in Veeam's privacy capabilities, including the acquisition of Securiti AI in December 2025, and the launch of the DataAI Command Platform. Together, they extend privacy from a compliance function into an operational capability that reaches every copy of personal data. Recent highlights include: DataAI Privacy: Automated privacy policies enforced in real time, at the source by user and jurisdiction. Powered by the most advanced identity intelligence graph in the industry (a People Data Graph) that unifies structured and unstructured personal data across hybrid multicloud environments, enabling faster and more accurate privacy operations than traditional siloed data mapping tools. Privacy that extends to backup: Through the DataAI Command Graph, Veeam applies data security posture management (DSPM) and classification across both live and backup data. This closes a long-standing blind spot, because personal data persists in copies long after it's been governed in production, and it supports prioritized recovery, so organizations can restore the most sensitive data first during an incident. DataAI Compliance: Ensures sensitive data is handled correctly while meeting compliance requirements. Veeam maps controls and evidence to more than 100 regulatory frameworks, including GDPR, DORA, and the EU AI Act, giving privacy and legal teams a defensible audit trail instead of an evidence-gathering scramble ahead of every review. Fact-based research Magic Quadrant reports are a culmination of rigorous, fact-based research in specific markets, providing a wide-angle view of the relative positions of providers in markets where growth is high, and provider differentiation is distinct. Providers are positioned into four quadrants: Leaders, Challengers, Visionaries, and Niche Players. The research enables you to get the most from market analysis in alignment with your unique business and technology needs. Protect AI Systems With Veeam's Agent Commander

Veeam® Software, the Data and AI Trust Company, announced Agent Commander, the first unified solution to help organizations safely detect AI risk, protect AI systems, and undo AI mistakes, empowering them to proactively address AI-driven risks and securely scale AI agents everywhere. Introducing Agent Commander The first integration from Veeam’s successful acquisition of Securiti AI, Agent Commander combines the market-leading capabilities of both to give organizations visibility, control, and protection over their entire data and AI estate, with the ability to undo AI mistakes with precision and ease. Agent Commander will be available in a future release of the Securiti Data Command Center, bringing together the industry’s leading Data Resilience and Data Security capabilities.  Representing future “AI happens at machine speed, which means organizations must understand what data is being used, by what agent, and how in real-time. If an error occurs, organizations not only need to understand what data was impacted, but they also need the ability to undo any damage rapidly,” said Anand Eswaran, CEO of Veeam. “With Agent Commander, organizations know what data is powering AI, and it gives them the power to detect, protect, and, when necessary, undo AI actions with speed and precision. It represents the future of what’s expected from data security and data resilience, and it’s only possible with Veeam’s unified platform.” Data and AI risk The most critical gap in AI infrastructure today is trust. As AI agents scale, data risk and AI risk have become the same problem. An agent is only as trustworthy as the data it can see, access, and act on. Yet enterprise controls remain fragmented with separate systems for protection, security, governance, and recovery, and none built to provide unified visibility, granular control, or precision response at the speed and scale AI now demands.  Sensitive data is being fed into models and acted upon in ways no one approved nor is tracking. As AI moves at machine speed an AI agent can access and act on sensitive data in seconds. Traditional workflows that take hours to detect and days to remediate leave too much exposure at that velocity. Closing this gap requires a new layer of AI infrastructure: a unified control plane that delivers contextual visibility, policy-level enforcement, and surgical recovery, converging data resilience, data security, and AI risk management into one operational system. About Agent Commander Agent Commander brings Veeam’s trusted data resilience together with Securiti AI’s Data Command Center. This unified platform gives organizations total visibility into their AI environment, detects hidden risks and Shadow AI, and provides comprehensive controls to protect data as it moves through AI systems. Uniquely, Agent Commander can instantly undo AI agent mistakes with precise rollbacks. With Agent Commander, teams can detect and fix threats faster and with less effort, enabling safe and rapid AI adoption. It provides the visibility and control needed to confidently scale AI, turning security into a true business accelerator. What makes Agent Commander unique? At the core of Agent Commander is Veeam's Data Command Graph™ — a real-time relational intelligence engine that maps live connections between data, identities, AI models, and autonomous agents across production and backup environments. Veeam sees what others can't. The toxic combinations where compromised identities, exposed data, and autonomous agents intersect — and how those risks compound, cascade, and evolve in real time across the entire data and AI estate. That's why no standalone AI security or backup solution can do what Agent Commander does. Combined with Veeam's enterprise-grade data resilience platform, it delivers three capabilities the industry has never seen together. Detect AI Risk with Context: Identify shadow AI, sensitive data exposure, and risky agent behavior, with full visibility into downstream impact across systems and environments. Protect AI Pipelines Autonomously: Enforce granular, real-time controls across data, identities, and AI agents, independent of model providers, cloud platforms, and hybrid needs. Undo AI Mistakes with Precision: Surgically reverse unwanted AI actions using precise, context-aware recovery, restoring trusted data without reverting entire systems. By converging relational AI intelligence with proven resilience infrastructure, Agent Commander establishes a new standard for trusted, recoverable AI at scale. Expertise insight “As AI becomes operational infrastructure, enterprises can no longer treat data protection, data and AI security, privacy, and governance as separate disciplines,” said Rehan Jalil, President of Products & Technology at Veeam. “Controlling AI risk is effectively impossible in siloed environments or without deep contextual intelligence across data, permissions, and autonomous agents. Agent Commander unifies control across production and backup to detect toxic combinations, enforce granular policy, and precisely reverse AI-driven actions. This is the foundation required to operate AI safely at enterprise scale.” "Acquisitions often raise the question of how combined strengths can create new customer value,” said Todd Thiemann, Principal Analyst, AIM & Data Security at Omdia. “Veeam’s announcement provides a clear roadmap for integrating capabilities and delivering enhanced solutions to organizations securing their data and AI estates. The focus on Agent Commander demonstrates Veeam’s commitment to provide both operational efficiency and comprehensive security for AI agents."
