SentryBay Introduces Armored Client For AVD & W365 To Protect Endpoint Vulnerabilities

SentryBay, the UK-based cybersecurity software company has announced that it has added to its family of Armored Client products with a solution specifically designed to address the client-side security gaps of Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop and Windows 365 while harnessing the strengths of Intune. Armored Client for AVD & W365 Users of endpoint devices that connect to any virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) system are at risk of cybersecurity attacks, particularly from keylogging and screen capture malware, such as AgentTesla. This new version, ‘Armored Client for AVD & W365’, combines SentryBay’s patented EntryProtect technology, (which guards against even low-level keylogging attempts), with an agent that secures VDI sessions. Features A unique whitelisting facility for web conferencing software provides full protection without compromise The agent utilizes the features inherent in Microsoft Intune UEM to enforce the use of enterprise-grade security tools on each endpoint. He adds, "Large companies have been using our Armored Client platform with great results for many years to protect their business data at the endpoint, but what is also needed now is a simply deployed product that suits the modern, hybrid workplace." Anti-keylogging, screen capture technology Microsoft VDIs are amongst the most popular solutions on the market but they can put unmanaged endpoints at risk" Dave Waterson continues, “Microsoft VDIs are amongst the most popular solutions on the market and growth in market share, but, like other VDI or DaaS systems, they can put unmanaged endpoints at risk of intrusion from common, but dangerous malware, including exposure via Teams and other conferencing software." He said, "The new Armored Client uses the next generation of advanced anti-keylogging and screen capture technology to combat this.” Applications and advantages SentryBay is targeting this product at information officers and security teams using or administering, Microsoft VDI solutions across multiple sectors including insurance, finance, healthcare, and call centers. These industries will particularly benefit from the proven efficacy of the Armored Client in meeting compliance and regulatory requirements. Amongst its many advantages, the new version of Armored Client is active from the moment that a user logs into their device, and it requires no user interaction. Security teams can deploy it through a simple MSI file via Intune, or other UEM platforms.

SentryBay Is Recognized As A Sample Vendor By Gartner® In Hype Cycle™ For Endpoint Security 2022

SentryBay, the UK-based cybersecurity software company has announced that it has been recognized as a Sample Vendor in the Gartner® Hype Cycle ™ for Endpoint Security, 2022 under the VDI/DaaS Endpoint Security category for the second year in a row. VDI and DaaS According to the Gartner report: 'The increased use of VDI and DaaS to deliver access to company apps and data from unmanaged devices demands additional controls. Less control of the local machine introduces the risk of keyloggers, screen-scrapers, and credential or session hijacking due to incomplete or outdated device security posture.' 'VDI and DaaS security tools add user validation and session auditing. This technology helps prevent and counteract these security shortcomings on managed and unmanaged devices.' Sample Vendor recognition Dave Waterson, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at SentryBay, said “We think it is a testament to the continued importance of VDI and DaaS endpoint security that this category is still ‘on the rise’ in the Hype Cycle." He adds, "We believe the need for improved security for remote and hybrid workers continues to be a pressing issue for all enterprises. We are delighted to have been recognized as a Sample Vendor for the second year in a row.”
