Mobileum Acquires Developing Solutions To Improve Customer Experience As They Transition To 5G

Mobileum Inc., a provider of analytics solutions for roaming and network services, security, risk management, testing, and monitoring, is pleased to announce that it has acquired Developing Solutions, a network testing software provider that focuses on core network testing for load and lab use cases covering 3G, 4G, 5G and IP Multimedia Subsystem (‘IMS’). The acquisition of Developing Solutions continues Mobileum's growth strategy, building a telecom-focused analytics platform with a robust testing infrastructure and a widespread set of network interfaces, allowing operators to optimize operational efficiency and improve customer experience as they transition to 5G and next-generation networks. Actionable analytics platform "The acquisition of Developing Solutions is a natural step in Mobileum's evolution, as we continue to consolidate the market and build an actionable analytics platform together with an end-to-end testing infrastructure to support telecom operators along their transformation journey.” The acquisition of Developing Solutions is a natural step in Mobileum's evolution" “With the advent of 5G, operators must adapt to market changes faster, while still maintaining the highest standard of service performance. Therefore, it is increasingly important that carriers have integrated core testing capabilities that transcend the 5G ecosystem, and the power to monitor the performance of high-density data within a backdrop of networks that are increasingly complex, automated, and dynamic," commented Bobby Srinivasan, CEO of Mobileum. Real-Time actionable insights "As the launch of 5G standalone networks, new IoT use cases, and network slicing continue to accelerate, the ability for telecom operators to fully automate the testing of new services and applications will be critical to increasing their business agility and supporting new revenue streams. By joining Mobileum, we will be able to offer our customers a fully integrated, unified solution that encompasses all of their testing needs - from the lab to the live network," commented John Minnis, CEO and Founder of Developing Solutions. Mobileum has consistently grown its suite of analytics offerings in the years following its 2016 acquisition by Audax Private Equity. Building on 19 years of leadership in roaming, Mobileum relied on its knowledge of mobile telecommunications to develop its 'Active Intelligence' platform that empowers real-time actionable insights across roaming, testing, fraud, and security domains. Application testing platform Developing Solutions has been a long-term Mobileum partner in the testing domain Developing Solutions has been a long-term Mobileum partner in the testing domain. This acquisition will allow the two companies to build on their partnership and to integrate Developing Solutions' dsTest product with Mobileum's Active Testing solution, SITE. The combined solution will provide telecom operators with end-to-end testing and verification solutions for the entire network and service lifecycle, from lab to production. Mobileum's expanded offering will provide carriers with a customizable, end-to-end application testing platform that easily integrates with other automation tools and reduces operational costs by enabling modern, continuous integration and delivery with a DevOps approach. Lower operational costs The integration will allow automated testing in a Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment ("CI/CD") environment, providing extensive 5G core emulation capabilities, API testing, and 5G test automation capabilities. The combination of the two companies will facilitate the development and deployment of new tests, improving flexibility and allowing users to address any 5G test scenario, leading to faster service launches and lower operational costs. This acquisition will also strengthen Mobileum's engineering team and enhance its 5G Core Network skills and expertise, expanding its capacity to help solve some of the most complex challenges emerging at the core of the network and to serve its more than 900 customers around the globe.

Developing Solutions Proceeds With The Development Of dsTest Release 5.6 And Provides Current Builds To Customers

Developing Solutions, Inc. has begun the development life cycle for dsTest release 5.6, and their daily builds are available to all current customers with active support agreements. Customers can download these builds from the Developing Solutions secure support website. Developing Solutions operates in a CI/CD/CT environment for all dsTest releases, and performs daily software builds and regression testing for the release under development. While release 5.6 remains in development customers may make feature requests which, if accepted, may be implemented in the current release or in a future release depending on the timing of the request. Customers are notified when features they requested have been released. Network test solutions All features available in previous releases are carried forward into future releases All features available in previous releases are carried forward into future releases as is the continued support for and development of comprehensive 3G, 4G, and 5G core network test solutions. The previous release, dsTest 5.5, was finalized in January, 2021, and included the following 5GC Service-Based-Interfaces and procedures: Initial implementation of the N22 interface to test AMF and NSSF. Initial implementation of the N15 interface to test PCF and AMF. Support for HO using N14 per TS 29.518. Support for HO between N2 and S1. Support for N2 to N14 Inter-AMF HO. Support for Emergency Services fallback as per TS 23.502 section 4.13.4.2. Support for EPS fallback for IMS voice as per TS 23.502 section 4.13.6.1. Core network testing Release 5.6 will expand support for video clients to include DASH VOD and QUIC in addition to the currently supported HLS video client. They are adding support for the Ngmlc service on the GMLC and adding the 5G-EIR node emulator and service. Additionally, for 5G they’re adding location functions to our N2 implementation. To simplify the process of automating dsTest, enhancements will be made to bundle several functions To simplify the process of automating dsTest, enhancements will be made to bundle several functions within a test using the REST or XML/TCP API’s as well as expanding support for validation options. Developing Solutions’ growing collection of Control Plane and User Plane applications and core network testing solutions gives dsTest the ability to identify problems and potential bottlenecks in the lab before they show up in the network. Software defined networks One can easily scale an environment — simulating hundreds of millions of subscribers — to test network capacity, compliance, scalability, and redundancy. Additionally, features such as SmartEvents, SmartMessageElement, and inline protocol dictionaries give one maximum flexibility and control. dsTest is a high performance, high capacity software solution that runs on several distributions of Linux. It is designed to take advantage of the latest processor and virtualisation technology to assist carriers’ and vendors’ evolution toward network function virtualisation and software defined networks. Carriers and vendors rely on dsTest for performance, compliance, and reliability validation of their networks. dsTest is also accompanied by the dsClient desktop application, which allows easy configuration and control of dsTest using a graphical user interface, and provides test monitoring and operational measurement reporting in chart or tabular form.

Developing Solutions Provides dsTest V5.4 To All Current Customers With Active Support Agreements
