ATG Access has announced a strategic partnership with Swedish construction and urban landscaping specialist Benders, as the UK physical security manufacturer accelerates its expansion into the Scandinavian market. Founded in 1960, Benders is one of Sweden’s largest privately owned, family-run businesses with deep-rooted relationships across the country’s municipal and infrastructure markets. Operating from Uddevalla, at the former Volvo factory site, the business has established a significant presence in construction and public realm development throughout Sweden. Most prominent transport hubs The partnership comes as ATG Access secures its first project win with Benders at Gothenburg Central Station, one of Sweden’s most prominent transport hubs. The project will see the installation of 12 hostile vehicle mitigation bollards using ATG’s shallow foundation technology to strengthen protection across the station’s public realm. The eight-week program is due for completion next month. The scheme reflects growing demand for security infrastructure across Sweden, where municipalities and transport authorities are increasingly reassessing public safety measures following a series of vehicle-related attacks in pedestrian areas and rising concerns around lone-actor terrorism.
