TSS (Traffic Safety Systems) - part of AD Group - is reporting a major upsurge in interest in its digital mobile CCTV solutions, for roads policing and community safety, as a result of Intersec 2007 in Dubai, with enquiries up 60% year-on-year.

The Dubai Police Chief HE Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan Tamin was shown the company's latest mobile CCTV systems by TSS Managing Director, Alan Mole.

TSS has been working closely with the Dubai Police - recognized as one of the most progressive police authorities in the Gulf - in recent months on the application of its CCTV solutions which will be a key element in an enhanced road safety and accident reduction programme being implemented by the Dubai Traffic Police Department.

Said Alan Mole, Managing Director at TSS: "Intersec has been an extremely successful exhibition for us and underlines the fact that police forces in Europe and the Middle East - with Dubai being a notable example - appreciate the real potential of mobile speed enforcement technology as a powerful law enforcement tool.

"Once this technology is fitted to a police car it integrates accurate speed measurement with digital CCTV evidence of a target vehicle that has exceeded the speed limit or committed other traffic violations."

TSS believes that mobile CCTV technology is particularly effective on routes which are not be covered by fixed cameras or radar devices and where excessive speeds increase the risk of accidents.

Already the company can count all of the police authorities in the UK as customers and is hoping that this strong track record and work with the Dubai Police will lead to major growth across the Middle East over the next 12 months as expressions of interest are turned into confirmed orders.
