On Tuesday September 11th 2007, many hundreds of Pelco employees, honored guests and the public joined together in commemoration of the Sixth Anniversary of September 11, 2001, and to celebrate the lives of the fallen heroes from that day.

"We must never forget the thousands of innocent men and women who went to work that day and never returned home," explained Pelco President and CEO, David L. McDonald.  "I strongly believe that every American now shares this responsibility.  We must never forget."

The solemn ceremony, which began at 8:30 a.m., was held at the California Memorial - a permanent monument in memory of all the victims and fallen heroes of September 11, 2001.  The ceremony included the lowering of the California Memorial flag to half-staff and a wreath procession with motor escort accompanied by a piped rendition of "Amazing Grace."  A twenty-one-gun salute, Combined Command "Flyover," presentation of a folded American flag, and singing of the National Anthem followed.

Honored guests who attended the ceremony included: Chief Anthony Whitaker from the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey Police Department, and Andy Isolano, former FDNY fire-fighter.  Both are survivors of September 11, 2001.  Other honored guests included retired US Army Sergeant Jude Recendez, who lost both his legs in a roadside bomb explosion in Iraq; the Combined Command Military Honor Guard, as well as numerous first responders from the local area.

Pelco honors the brave men and women who sacrificed so much in 2001 with an annual September 11th Observance.  Throughout the year, the California Memorial and the California Memorial Museum are open to the public to ulargest manufacturer of video security systems and Central California's largest manufacturing employer.  Pelco video solutions are protecting people and property in more than one million locations throughout the world.
