West Coast postings filled by Industry Professionals

Panasonic Security Systems, a division of Panasonic System Solutions Company (PSSA), is strengthening its support to end users and systems integrators with the addition of two new positions in Systems Sales.  The new appointments include Michael Maddox and Gerald Buck as Systems Sales Engineers.

"Matching structure with strategy is key to a successful organization and these two positions support Panasonic's IP-based systems product strategy and increased focus on working closely with consultants, architects and engineers," said Frank DeFina, President of Panasonic System Solutions Company.  "We are confident Mike and Gerry are the ideal individuals to help our systems sales and support initiatives in the western United States continue moving forward."

Reporting to Steve Surfaro, Director of Enterprise Projects for Panasonic Security Systems, Mike Maddox will take over the reins for the development and management of the Panasonic Solution Developer Network (PSDN).  PSDN is a key component of Panasonic's "open infrastructure" initiative aimed at providing products and solutions that are integrated with complimentary products and meet rapidly changing and increasingly sophisticated market demands.  Additionally, Mike will be responsible for supporting security consultants and Panasonic partners and customers in the Northwest.

Prior to joining Panasonic Security Systems as Systems Sales Engineer, Mike was a founder and Vice President of Ojo Technology, Inc., a specialized integrator of IP video surveillance solutions located in Fremont, CA.

Also reporting to Steve Surfaro in the role of Systems Sales Engineer, Gerald Buck will focus on the education market in the western region.  He will be responsible for marketing Panasonic's broad range of security products to the education community.

Gerald has over 25 years of experience in the security industry, gained through previous positions with SimplexGrinnell, Johnson Controls Inc., Panasonic Video Imaging Systems and National Guardian Security Services, among others.

Both appointments are effective immediately.
