Messe Frankfurt Defers 2020 Edition Of Secutech Taiwan In The Wake Of Novel Coronavirus Outbreak

To safeguard the wellbeing of its participants in the wake of the recent Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, Messe Frankfurt has announced the deferral of the upcoming edition of Secutech in Taipei, the company’s event for the safety and security industry. The event was originally scheduled from 22 - 24 April 2020. The announcement follows a decision on 30 January 2020 by the World Health Organization (WHO) to list the COVID-19 outbreak as a Public Health Emergency of International Concern. This was followed on 11 February with a statement issued by Mayor, New Taipei City, Hou You-Yi, urging the cancellation of large-scale indoor events in order to minimize the public health risk posed by COVID-19. Rescheduling of high-profile exhibitions In the intervening time, a number of high-profile exhibitions in Nangang Exhibition Center and other parts of Taipei have been rescheduled. Secutech’s brand of popular road-shows will take place across Taiwan during 2020 Commenting on the decision, Ms Regina Tsai, General Manager, Messe Frankfurt New Era Business Media Ltd said, “Safeguarding the wellbeing of our stakeholders is always our top priority. Accordingly, we have decided to take appropriate measures to support the local government’s efforts to counter the COVID-19 outbreak.” “We have tried our best to find new dates for Secutech 2020, however we have so far been unable to find an adequate solution for our stakeholders.” Secutech deferred to April 2021 “Although a timeslot for relocating Secutech in the second half of 2020 is available, given its close proximity to the next edition of Secutech, and the marketing activities of our exhibitors already scheduled later this year, this timeslot does not provide good value for our stakeholders. Therefore we have to defer the show to April 2021.” To ensure that domestic business can be sustained throughout this period, Secutech’s brand of popular road-shows will take place across Taiwan during 2020, with dates to be announced in due course. Furthermore, Messe Frankfurt New Era will continue its extensive on-line marketing campaigns to help Secutech exhibitors maximize their market exposure for the remainder of the year.

Messe Frankfurt Shares Details Of The 9th Edition Of Secutech India 2020 To Be Held In Mumbai

Attracting trade visitors from across the subcontinent, the region’s most influential trade fair for the security industry, Secutech India, is scheduled to return for its 9th edition from 7 – 9 May 2020 at the Bombay Exhibition Center, Mumbai. With exhibitor registration still open, the fair has already attracted more than 350 of the world’s leading security brands with less than three months remaining before it commences. The 2020 exhibition will feature Axis Communication, CP Plus, Hikvision, ZKTeco, Infinova, Matrix, Toshiba and many more. Security devices and turnkey solutions The 2020 edition of Secutech India is set to reflect the country’s digital transformation Detailing the business value of the fair, Ms Regina Tsai, the General Manager of Messe Frankfurt New Era Business Media Ltd said: “Catering to local market requirements such as cost efficiency and a need for fast project implementation, Secutech India assembles the full range of security devices and turnkey solutions under a single roof. Benefiting from its position in Mumbai, India’s commercial center, last year the fair attracted more than 20,000 buyers traveling from across India’s main regions, and we are looking forward to welcoming even more business this coming May.” The 2020 edition of Secutech India is set to reflect the country’s digital transformation. IP cameras are in high demand from SMEs, retail and the residential segment, while biometric access control systems are also gaining popularity in offices and at border controls, with users gradually favouring contactless systems such as facial recognition above fingerprint biometrics. Core security solutions In the view of Ms Tsai, this year’s fair is taking place at a favourable time for the regional industry: “The government aims to transform India into an electronics export hub, which will open up new opportunities for component manufacturers catering to the local manufacturing sector. But just as importantly, as part of India’s proposed Union Budget 2020, infrastructure development across roads, railroad, airports, ports, and economic corridors are expected to raise demand for core security solutions including video surveillance, video analytics, biometrics and intruder detection systems." "The governments ‘Digital India’, ‘Smart City Mission’, and ‘Technology Empowerment’ initiatives will also be growth drivers.”  Access control in healthcare facilities As a maturing security market, the appetite for knowledge in India is growing" Among many benefits, the ability to make onsite comparisons, conduct meaningful business discussions and view product demonstrations are a few of the show elements that visitor’s to Secutech India value. According to Ms Tsai, business effectiveness is the top priority for the fair’s organisers: “Initiatives such as the ‘Secutech connect’ business matching service which links buyers with exhibitors based on industry background continue to be highly popular, helping us to generate genuine business outcomes for participants.” But beyond business, information exchange is also a priority says Ms Tsai: “As a maturing security market, the appetite for knowledge in India is growing. This is a need that the upcoming edition of Secutech India will cater for with a series of conferences dealing with topics relevant to the local market, including cybersecurity, smart city digital infrastructure; the convergence of 5G, artificial intelligence, data analytics and the IoT; access control in healthcare facilities, and fire safety in elderly care homes and restaurants.” Personal protection equipment In addition to its core focus on security, Secutech India 2020, in cooperation with the GPS Association of India, will feature a pavilion dedicated to fleet management, vehicle tracking as well as passenger and driver safety. The concurrent ‘Fire and Safety India’ event will also return as the destination for trade buyers to locate the latest firefighting gear, personal protection equipment and smoke detection systems.

Secutech Vietnam 2020 Caters To The Growing Market Of Integrated Security, Smart Building And Fire Safety Solutions

Secutech Vietnam, the region’s trade fair for connected IoT-based security, fire safety and smart building solutions will return to the Saigon Convention and Exhibition Center for its 13th edition from 20 - 22 August 2020. Following record high participation at its 2019 edition, and amidst buoyant market conditions, the fair is expected to attract 400 exhibitors and 15,000 trade buyers from across the ASEAN region. The impressive rise of Secutech Vietnam over the past ten years has coincided with consistent growth in the market for safety and security solutions, and according to fair organizer Messe Frankfurt New Era Business Media Ltd, there has never been a more opportune moment to enter the marketplace. Regardless of whether it’s the security, fire safety or smart building sector, business prospects continue to emerge, and integrated solutions have become a major driving force for business. Video surveillance market The economy grew at 7% in 2019 and the FDI environment remains extremely welcoming" Ms Regina Tsai, the General Manager of Messe Frankfurt New Era Business Media Ltd, says that Secutech Vietnam is the perfect platform for foreign players to gain a foothold in the market, “Continued support from government departments and key industry associations ensures that relevant buyers from both the public and private sectors visit Secutech Vietnam. What’s more, the fair’s wide coverage across multiple industries including construction, industry, retail and hospitality will attract system integrators, distributors and related trade buyers from both the north and the south of the country.” Ms Tsai added, “Vietnam’s fundamentals make the country a highly attractive proposition. The economy grew at 7% in 2019 and the FDI environment remains extremely welcoming.” Expected to grow at a CAGR of 12.4% until 2022, the video surveillance market is particularly promising, representing one of the fastest growing surveillance markets in South East Asia. Industrial Internet of things (IIoT) Furthermore, thanks to strong government support of Industry 4.0 initiatives, significant opportunities are arising in Vietnam’s smart factory sector, a field in which the Industrial Internet of things (IIoT) is having far reaching implications for automation, predictive maintenance, logistics and supply chain management. In fact, according to Vietnam’s Central Institute for Economic Management, Industry 4.0 solutions have the potential to raise Vietnam’s GDP by between 7 - 16% from 2019 to 2030. Government backed smart city projects, a strong construction sector, and urbanization are also significant growth drivers - supporting a flourishing market for IoT based smart building and home solutions. Larger SMABuilding event At previous editions, CCTV cameras and NVRs were the main focus for buyers" Perhaps the most noticeable change at the 2020 edition of Secutech Vietnam will come in the form of a larger SMABuilding event. Explaining the expansion, Ms Tsai said, “In terms of commercial and residential property, facility managers are not only in charge of security and fire safety, but also temperature control, energy efficiency, lighting and parking. With this overlap in mind, it makes sense for SMABuilding to add to its existing portfolio of security solutions so that trade visitors can source the full spectrum of smart home and building solutions. Visitors can expect a larger event scale and even more opportunities to conduct business.” She further explained that end users in the commercial security sector are also demanding more sophisticated products, “At previous editions, CCTV cameras and NVRs were the main focus for buyers. But now, end users are searching for components and solutions that can enable new unified turnkey solutions with added value and flexibility.” Single management platform Combining security with other functionalities is also proving popular in the factory, home, parking and retail sectors, all of which will have dedicated application pavilions at the show. With related technologies grouped together, it’s much easier for trade visitors to find specific solutions" “These are all vertical markets where buyers demand unified solutions to their challenges,” said Ms Tsai. “Taking retail as an example, store managers and business owners increasingly prefer to handle security, retail analytics, heat mapping, people counting and inventory management through a single management platform rather than a series of separate sub-systems.” But although popular, it is not only ‘total solutions’ that channel buyers are searching for, single function solutions are also in demand. According to Ms Tsai, this is where the fair’s four application zones will deliver even more value, “With related technologies grouped together, it’s much easier for trade visitors to find the specific solutions that they need, whether it be access control, perimeter monitoring or license plate recognition.” Seven product zones Alongside the fair’s application zones, Secutech Vietnam will also feature seven product zones, displaying the latest surveillance cameras, components and accessories, software and management platforms, PA systems, biometrics and RFID. Three of the zones will be located at the concurrent ‘Fire & Safety Vietnam’ event, which recorded its largest ever edition in 2019, connecting practitioners with extinguishing equipment, alarms, personal protection equipment, disaster prevention solutions, fire proof materials, rescue equipment and more.
