In 2009 the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) upgraded facilities at the International Special Training Center in Obninsk in the Russian Federation. Given the high value of the solar panels, it is hardly surprising that some sites are only insurable if they are equipped with suitable security systems; and that some insurers offer reduced premiums for sites with high quality solutions. For the photo voltaic power stations using Geutebruck systems, the premium reductions represent significant cost savings and a fast payback on the security equipment.
