AXIS 250S MPEG-2 Video Server

The AXIS 250S is a one port video server designed to stream full-resolution video at DVD quality over the network.  It offers users video and synchronized audio on any workstation anywhere on the LAN/WAN and features:

• DVD quality video stream: Available Resolutions: 720x576, 352x288. 720x480, 352x240 pixels - appropriate to the target video application
• CD quality synchronized stereo sound: Fully utilizes high quality audio equipment
• Up to 1 minute of pre-alarm video buffer: Video can be buffered in the server and transmitted at event occurrence
• Real-time MPEG-2 hardware compression & transmission giving low latency in the transmission of the synchronized video/audio stream
• High performance: full frame rate even at full resolution (25/30 frames/second at a resolution of 720x576); data rates up to 25 Mbit/s (3 simultaneous clients) and configurable bandwidth utilization - simplifies robust network design and optimization
